Ale Vallecchi
Dear Desertnauts. A quick briefing for tomorrow's Sunday drive. Besides the meeting point, now available on the drive's post and detailed page (one of the usual 2 meeting points along Faya Truck Road), the drive's plan may be varied halfway through. In fact, based on how well we drive in the first segment (including most of the "classic" Faya area (including the Fox Den), once we turn South to Al Khatim, we may actually divert the drive toward the Tilal Resort area. In fact, there is a very inviting stretch of pristine long-range dunes that we may choose to visit, east of The Desert Rose Safari Camp: if we choose this route we'll exit somewhere between the village of Al Khowrah, and the Sweihan-Al Ain Rd. The convoy order will be the following: @Abhishek Chikara in Second Lead @Amr J at #3 @Soap at #4 @B.K. at #5 @Sunstreaker at #6 @Aser at Center @Zsolt at #8 @Krinesh at #9 @Diego at #10 @Hani crest king at #11 and @ChrisW in Sweep. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning, with a full tank, as if all goes well we will surely extend the drive beyond the original plan. Have e pleasant Saturday evening. 3 1 2
ChrisW
Excellent drive this morning @Ale Vallecchi, thank you for leading us through the quite varied terrain and achieving our goal of the express crossing! You all made it very easy to be a support team member today…everyone drove well, good use of the skills and consistent approach to the different terrain types we encountered. Well done! Also @Hani crest king do you want your air miles added to Emirates Skywards or Etihad Guest program…? 😉😂 1

Prime example of how the desert can quickly humble a person @Ale Vallecchi once again always a pleasure exploring the vast sand terrain on your drives giving us a different perspective to the desert. Was quite technical in the first half either a good way of navigating new terrains. @Aser thank you for the support always peace of mind when having you in the convoy. @ChrisW great drive at sweep with 4 trucks in the convoy the tracks and sand storms definitely was not easy to coop with but having your positive spirit with us makes all smooth 1
