Ishak
Dear desert wanderers, @khlief @nickJp @Lazy Frog @SHIHAN BEARY @J-P L @Thomas54675 @Ash S. @Abdullah A. @Sam Selim@Kashx2 @Danie @Mei Ling Last Friday’s Fewbie drive started at Tawi Nazwa and ended at Big Red, on a day that truly tested our commitment. The weather forecast predicted 100% rain, and it delivered, rain had been pouring since the night before. I even made a bet with @Sam Selim on how many of you would drop out of the drive ... and `I am happy to say `I won the bet 😁. Despite the weather, most of you showed up, which really shows the spirit of the group. Respect! 🙌 The briefing was slightly delayed due to some road closures, which forced a few of you to take a longer U-turn, thank you all for the patience. We ended up doing the briefing in cold, drizzling weather… it honestly felt like we were somewhere in the UK 😄. During the briefing, we discussed how to drive on compacted sand and what to expect given the conditions. We then started moving slowly to warm up and to test how the terrain was behaving. Leading was a bit challenging at times as visibility through the windshield wasn’t always great, but the convoy followed nicely. As I can see from my mirror, @khlief did a great job adjusting and polishing the track, making it smoother for everyone behind. We made a quick bio break under the rain, definitely not a long on, and continued towards our first checkpoint at the burned-down cars below Pink Rock, enjoying the cold weather just a little longer. From there, we attempted to cross Pink Rock through the usual window, but it was inaccessible due to rocks covering the track. Instead, we found the next window, which turned out to be even better, allowing us to enjoy some playtime in the bowl with straight up-and-down drives. @nickJp had his jeep fender fall off so he decided the other one did not deserve to stay either 😁. After that, we moved towards Big Red, we did nice flowing long roller coaster to the next stop where @Danie needs to fix the minor leakege on the front right tire. Then, we took the easiest track as @Thomas54675 needed to exit early. Once he safely left the convoy, the rest of us continued towards Big Red. Thanks to the compacted sand, the climbs were surprisingly easy, even from the south face, which is normally not accessible on a regular day. On the last climb, we approached Big Red from the south side, where on normal day I would usually only climb half way. This time, we made it all the way to the top and crossed the dune straight up. @Lazy Frog got crested, but thanks to the very fast support and recovery from @J-P L and @Sam Selim, I would say it does not count as an official recovery 😅. We wrapped up the drive at the top of Big Red taking in the strong wind, snapping a few photos, and enjoying the moment before exiting. Thanks to the sweep @Mei Ling, she started off a bit shy on the radio when the convoy first moved, but by mid-drive she clearly found her voice and kept us well updated 😄. You all drove very well in the rain that you are now un-officially promoted to Rain Drivers 🤣. Please also share your best picture in the gallery https://carnity.com/gallery/category/2469-fewbie-tawi-nazwa-sharjah-19-dec-2025/ Thank you everyone for showing up, staying positive despite the rain, and making this a memorable drive. Looking forward to the next one 🚙🌧️🏜️ 2

Thomas54675
@Ishak Bros what a great day. My daughter needed some little time to recover from her "sea-sickness" but now she is a proud fewbie co-pilot 😁
