• Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year.
• Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.
• Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above (NO ABSOLUTE NEWBIES)

Meeting time: 8:00 AM

Action Plan: Dedicated to beginner off-roaders. Detailed explanation of all main driving principles (choice of tires, deflation, minimum necessary tools, meaning of momentum, significance of gravity), driving skills (convoy discipline, straight crossings, side sloping and dune switching) and environmental awareness (reading dunes, orientation principles, safety tips).

All of the above will then be practiced in a pristine field of white sand dunes, with the drive culminating at one of Qudra's beautiful lakes. 

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 12:30 PM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday at noon.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist. Once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear Desrtnauts.

First and foremost a quick heads-up: in spite of the international situation across the Gulf, the conditions on the ground in Dubai do not warrant, for the moment, the cancellation of the drive. Therefore, we are still good to go. 

JUST ONE WARNING: UNTIL AROUND 1 HOUR BEFORE THE DRIVE (7:00 AM), I WILL BE MONITORING ANY POSSIBLE NEW ORDERS ISSUED BY DUBAI POLICE OR ANY OTHER AUTHORITY THAT MAY PROHIBIT MOBILITY AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. In case, I will personally contact each one of you, if a cancellation becomes necessary.

Other than this, please remember a couple of things: 

• kindly have a radio available, and make sure it's fully charged
• make sure you refuel at Qudra's ADNOC gas station

The drive will be preceded by a thorough briefing, when detailed information will be shared about choice of tires, deflation, minimum necessary tools, meaning of momentum, significance of gravity, and about driving skills such as convoy discipline, straight crossings, side sloping and dune switching) and environmental awareness (reading dunes, orientation principles, safety tips.
