A friend of mine drives a Leopard, he recommended joining the following Whatsapp Group:

It seems on the Denza B5 you can choose to run the car in EV or PHEV mode. I think in Sports Mode it will constantly use both the electric motors and petrol engine, which is most likely not needed for beginner level drives in the desert. 

If you have a full battery charge it might be better to put the car in EV mode and only use the electric mode. There is indeed a lot to learn in this car. Perhaps this Whatsapp group can help.
