amitaj
Radiator cap actually plays a very important role in preventing overheating. The most common reason of engine overheating is the coolant burning or leaking. Generally the coolant starts boiling at 225 degrees. But the radiator cap pressurize the coolant to blend up to 265 degrees. So, if the radiator cap in your engine is faulty, then you need to get it repaired or replaced as soon as possible, otherwise the possibility of the engine getting overheated will be very high.
