RMP Races on slight acceleration

i have a bm 520 and i am facing a rather seriously problem with the car and usually i would straight away take to the dealer to fix it and they would take a week or maybe more but this time i need a 2nd opinion on this issue before i approach them

the thing is when i accelerate only a little a RPM races to 3000 where as it should only go maybe 1700 or max 2000

what do u member think this could be.

This cud be from throttle body or engine ECU needs re tuning. Both ways professional approach is highly required.
