VCO Posted January 8, 2012 Report Share Posted January 8, 2012 Has anyone tried to plug an OBD2 scanner to a Disco 1 ? I tried but it did not work with my Disco . Sounds good I think its not for GM only in fact all the cars sold in US from 94 onwards should have OBD2 as a standard I have read that V8 3.9 99 00 Disco 2 's support OBD. its limited but still supports you can see the temp of engine coolant, gearbox and some other info from ECU and reset some basic things but I do not have definitive answer for Disco 1 lets try on other cars and see what happens Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
chiraag Posted January 14, 2012 Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 Discovery 1 is OBDII compliant, but you need a different adapter to plug the diagnostic system. X Launch 321 has all LR related adapter in the case, so get the check from guys who check LR with X Launch. I got same checked in my older 1998 RR last year from Aweer emarat, they have PITCO service center and this guy plugged X Launch and scan my whole ECU.
