engine light on

hello my Peugeot engine light on had i had taken it to the mechanic but he cannot find problem, is it so serious that i need to take it to the dealer or it is safe to drive the light comes and goes 308 is it safe to drive long distance

please advice

You definetly need to see the dealer or qualified workshop so identify the problem and dont treat it lighlty and get it diagnose asap. Avoid long drives for sure.

it happened once to me

and it said something (i forgot what it is) failure in the screen

then few days later it went off!

see what it tells you in the screen to have an idea what the problem is .. and how important it is

when the engine light comes on you will also be given a "depollution error" message. one way of clearing it would be to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes IMMEDIATELY after switching off the engine
