shaantanu
my mechanic says that my fuel tank has a minor leak which is causing the fuel to deplete so fast but my common sense says if there is a leak then my car should blow up please advice me if i am getting ripped off thanx
fransisaudi
It may have leak or it may not have leak. Ask your mechanic to show you the leak from where fuel is leaking from the tank, not the fuel lines. Fuel leak must be dripping down the fuel tank and easily been seen leak or leak trail at least when u go under the car and torch the fuel tank from all sides. Still in doubt take second opinion, most of the mechanics are always sneaky.

tanish
fuel leaking can happen when there is an accident met. not a very common thing to happen.

yanik
Well it is not like in the movies where the car is blown up with a single shot. It takes more to witness such damage (luckily). Anyway i agrew with you, you should always ask for a second opinion.
