This is very fitting also as you show up week after week with so much enthusiasm and hunger to learn. Also proud of the fact that your lead today was so amazing it left all the boys and girls drooling for more. Even you well exceeded your 40 minutes time we had decided as we could not have enough. Congratulations and you make us proud @Jeepie.

Thank you all, I really enjoyed leading much more than I thought I would. Still learning, but I am also starting to realise that I can do more than I think I can and doing it will make me more confident. And of course it helps a lot having the support of Superman and the rest of the team. Learned a lot on the leaders lead drives, both by leading and watching others learn to lead. ?@Jeepie that you are a woman should not make any difference to how proud everyone is after your amazing lead, but the fact is you have the distinction of being the first female lead in Carnity. Brilliant lead. And great with recoveries. A real asset, man or woman, within Carnity. 😘

As Rahim bhai said, its a proud moment that we have women who are now leading our drives. While we pride ourselves in being a multicultural group we can now also proudly say that we have women who are leading our convoys, and very soon we will have women Marshals as well.

So glad for you @Brette. We started around the same time and you slowly converted your Black Stallion into a very competent off-roader. At the same time you have grown from a slightly shy and sometimes a bit hidden Carnity member into a force to be reckoned with and a fantastic support and someone our newbies are really looking up to because of your patience and will to help. Now Black Stallion is unleashed we’re all looking forward to further growth !

After all that has been said there is very little I can add to this. Our main challenge when we were driving to the meeting point was the Carnity website was going through an update. Thanks to @Gaurav, @Srikumar and @Frederic were already on top of the situation. It was a great relief to reach the meeting point to see everyone raring to go. My apologies for only 2 flavours today instead of the three I mentioned at the start. Those two flavours were so delicious the only thing I could share were my refusals and stuck. I guess wearing a Superman T-shirt does not guarantee you from a stuck. I would like to applaud the lead of @Jeepie who took us to a corner of Maliha which remained unexplored. This is also the first lead by a female in @Carnity. Indeed a proud moment for us. @Wrangeld was a decision I had to make as it was so difficult after enjoying @Jeepie lead so much. @Wrangeld was not to be out done as he added such a wonderful flavour to the drive that I enjoyed it just as much as the first part. Everyone was more than up for today's adventure. I'm in great appreciation of @Foxtrot Oscar who managed every dune with accurate measure. @Vanessa8580 had a moment when side slopping but handled it very well. Bigger surprise was when I approached her she had a pop-out and had her board and Jack all ready to go. This is great as she had a very calm mind not only to handle the situation well, but come to a flat surface and prepared to fix the pop-out. @sertac has come off age and was hard at work today to keep the convoy moving under all circumstances. I am very happy that @J J also noticed that @sertac seems to be on top of the sweep position. Some one wise once told me that to play the part you have to look the part. @sertac is preparing quietly but surely for a much more responsible position in our off-road community and I'm really proud that he is one step closer. The highlight of the day for me was the sighting of the Dhub after 2 years. I ended up with the stuck and jumped out of my car to chase it for a good pic. He took me in a circle which tired both of us out, but irony was he hid beneath my car. I took a few pics and have shared it on our drive album. Enjoy.

@Brette this is fantastic news and well deserved. It's always a pleasure to know that your cool head and hand are around during a drive. You really bring a feeling of confidence to everyone around you, helping them through the challenges, leading them away from trouble and accepting what ever is going on is just, well, going on! Really, it's been a pleasure getting to know you. How you handle that black dominator is beyond me. All I can say is that there are times I am glad you are sweep ... so we don't have to worry about what's happening at the back end of that vehicle. Can't wait to be on the first drive you lead. It's gonna be a lot of fun, for sure. See you soon in the sand.

It was a very good drive yesterday and I enjoyed the new leads, well done to @Jeepie and @Wrangeld. Mahafiz is a really nice area for a drive. The dunes are amazing and can find some pretty nice play area's. I hoped we could have some more time on the second play area but unfortunately I had a pop out and it took some time to fix it. Luckily @Frederic already taught me how to do it so I was prepared by the time @Rahimdad came and helped me. It was another experience and I am quite happy to see how it's been done. I learn something every week ! I realized on this drive I still have to learn a lot and I need to learn to keep control of my car. I made a few mistakes but hey, I keep learning and keep getting better. I am extremely grateful for all the support I am getting. See you next week in the sand !

From your very first drive, you have @Jeepie have shown tremendous enthusiasm and willingness to learn and both of you going from newbies to advanced off roaders in a few months is testament to that commitment. I think that wonderful “fish tail” narration on the briefing video brought you here... 🤣🤣 Just kidding buddy, you and Marjan have become an integral part of our family and you both never shy away from giving your full support and driving the little uncomfortable TJ all over the UAE. You both bring a maturity and calm approach to every drive and that is a very important thing to have while teaching new off-roaders or leading them the way. I wish you lots more well written drive reports, non-overheating drives with the TJ, and fun to be had and jokes to be cracked.

It was again fun yesterday! Thank you everyone involved! Especially @Srikumar and @Ale Vallecchi leading us professionally and safely. I think there was good amount of nice relaxed desert driving and also challenges riding the ridges and crossing them sideways. Had to pay attention what you are doing, pushing yourself and your skills. And good choice of places where to do it, not too steep ridges to cross, being too difficult -in my opinion.

Another great report by @Wrangeld. Love it. It was an amazing opportunity for me to be 2nd lead for the first time. I was really excited and pressured at the same time. @Gauravcould see me grinning like a Cheshire cat on his rearview mirror. Kudos to our 3 absolute newbies @Nikola Bozovic @George Francisand @Carlos Fernandez who tackled the dunes well. Thanks to @Luca Bregni (he, he) we had an additional drive to Badayer and check out the dunes there with a short night drive thrown in.

Hi guys, Thank you very much I really appreciate the fact that my effort haven’t gone by unnoticed.... After last weeks drive I know that shoveling isn’t part of getting it this far is it @Vanessa8580... although I’ve learned loads, shoveling is one of those things albeit I usually leave this to other people at home... sometimes the sand requests me to do it myself... Special thanks to @Gaurav, @Rahimdad, @Frederic who have taken great care of my sand-driving education to go from using brute power (as far as that’s available in a Pajero) to smooth and subtle driving... Thanks to @Xaf, @Jeepie, @Javier M & @Ale Vallecchi for doing some extra training on cross-crossing which got rewarded with my first pop out and that sped learning up even more!! I’ve seen the growth from @Wrangeld to lead last weekend already which has really inspired me to learn even more! And was encouraged to see @Kalahari to have taken my efforts shoveling out his Prado serious and even buying an Xterra to cover it up @Colin Jordan looking forward seeing you drive up here as well as I know you’ll make it, hope to see you do it in the big car as that seems way more fun than the one your wife has... Hope to see you all next week!!

Just a quick note ... check some of my earlier posts about the difference from Newbie to Fewbie. Pace is just one of the big changes and @Foxtrot Oscar you got is spot on. Keep up with the pace, and never lose sight of the person behind. Yesterday was a real pleasure to lead ... and I think pre COVID we would probably have had that 5 minute pressure check you mention ,... So we could have ventured even further. Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I thoroughly enjoyed leading and had a lot of fun. If you want to learn and get the opportunity, I would say; go for it. It might be a little scary at first but the support is always there. I certainly learned a lot. From practising myself and from watching other people learning how to lead as well. Gaurav put in a lot of time and effort teaching and I am glad I signed up for the leaders lead drives. See you soon
