  1. Dear Desert Wanderers @Stumpy, @Cesar Chacon, @khlief, @essam ibrahim, @Pramod B, @Gary F, @Shiju Raju, @Shaun J, @Mahmut, @Bravoecho, & @Bjoern, Firstly thank you all for being on time so that we could get away sharp in the morning that is always a bonus. i hope you all enjoyed the drive as much as I did, I did say at the briefing that the sand would be soft after the recent sand storms, however, even i was surprised at how soft it was. You guys dealt with the conditions brilliantly, we had a few stucks and refusals but that is all part of the hobby and learning journey, not just for the car that is stuck but for the other club members and the support team. @Stumpy fantastic second lead mate, absolutely nailed it, great gap between me and you allowing you to anticipate my issues and great communication, to stop me if you heard anything on the radio that I maybe did not hear top marks today for my Second Lead. @Bjoern great job at sweep mate, keeping me update as to whether we were moving or had issues, great job and thanks for your support today. @Gary F, very busy Centre forward, but you are getting stronger in the support role with every drive. you handled all of the stucks in a calm and professional manner with very little input from me, great job mate thanks for the support could not have managed without you today. Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend and see you all in the sand again very soon

  2. Thank you all for joining this drive his morning ! We set off a bit before 7 after the briefing, and the farm trails brought us to some nice scenic areas, with some nice challenges along the way in the area behind the arboretum, consisting of larger dunes where we could wake up our cars a bit and do some recoveries as well All of you drove really well ! I hope you enjoyed the style of drive this was, and if you see "scenic" labeled drives coming up this winter, and you enjoyed this drive, you will be able to expect a similar thing. During the winter of course we will drive longer and further. As long as we are in summer, we need to head out off the sands by 10AM. See you soon on one of the drives ! 3. @Frederic thank you for a great morning out it was a lovely drive, the convoy effortlessly moved through the desert! Some impressive driving from drivers new to the desert! Was very impressed with the level this morning and I felt a really nice team spirit today which made it even better, you don’t get that on every drive so makes it even more enjoyable. thank you all and hope to see you again soon.

  4. I love this picture for 2 reasons. A reminder that the sand knows no big or small. Another reminder that sometimes the easiest of terrains can be tricky. The third reason of 4H vs 4L, I’ll keep to myself 🤣 Thanks @Frederic !

  7. Dear Desertnauts. Let's prepare for Sunday afternoon's drive, planned in an area with plenty of large farms, by outlining the properties that we'll try to "visit" (if not only from outside their perimetral fences). First we'll aim for the "Pac Men's dunes and green fields of Marmun Dairy Farm. Before reaching them, we'll drive past, and later around, a massive enclosure with thousands of small trees planted. Proceeding from here we'll move south, and before reaching the Nagrah area we'll turn west, to skirt an area of multiple farms and horse breeding facilities (Al Manaf Arabian and Royal Desert Farms). Eventually we'll turn north toward Nahil, or continue west to Sweihan, to reach our exit point. The convoy order looks like the following (once again with an alternation of Fewbies and Fewbie Pluses, who will provide guidance and tutoring for those following them: @ChrisW in Second Lead @Abhilash Kottakkal at #3 @Zubail at #4 @Brett Eicher at #5 @Victor Socaciu at #6 and @Batuhan Kulac in Sweep. Looking forward to seeing you at Nahil on Sunday afternoon, to depart as close to 3:00 PM as possible. Have a nice end of the week.
