  1. Team Phoenix may be taking a break this year, but its unwavering spirit and dedication to fostering growth and sharing knowledge inspired the creation of a new force: Team ORYX (Over dunes, Ridges, and Yellow eXpanse) Hey there, future desert champion! Yes, everyone's a champion in my lens โ€” having taken that one big leap from the comfort zone and comfy couch and committing time practising and building off-roading memory muscles in the weekends! ๐ŸŒต Are you ready to leave your mark on the dunes and become part of something epic? Team ORYX is on the hunt for one last team member to complete our squad for the Desert Champions Trophy 2024. And trust us โ€” you donโ€™t want to miss this ride. Weโ€™re not just any off-roading team. Weโ€™re a crew that believes in the power of teamwork, constant learning, and pushing each other to be the best. Think of us as a desert family โ€” whether youโ€™re a dune rookie or an off-road pro, every single member of Team ORYX plays a crucial role. We grow together, we practice together, and we can win together. ๐Ÿ† If you're into perfecting those tight maneuvers, fine-tuning your desert driving skills, and having a team thatโ€™s got your back at every turn (literally), then youโ€™ll fit right in. We believe that with the right mix of hard work and a whole lot of fun, success on the sand is inevitable. After all, itโ€™s not just about the finish line โ€” itโ€™s about the journey we take together. So, are you ready to gear up and make possible history with Team ORYX? If yes, hit us up and letโ€™s get you off-roading towards greatness. The dunes are calling. ๐Ÿœ๏ธ #TeamORYX #DesertChampions #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #RacingLegends 1. You can reply here and send me WhatsApp on +971-56-7.2.4-2.1.5.6 to register your interest. 2. We are an equal opportunity team, so the total cost of Team Registration is divided by 5: both Lead and Members will pay the cost of 800 dhs. Thus, you will be reimbursed 200 dhs by me. Everybody pays equally and should Lady Luck be on our side, we shall split equally too the prize money ๐Ÿ˜ƒ 3. You should be minimum at Fewbie Level, our team so far consists of @Matt - monkeywrench + @Zak_ + @Jon L . But through regular practices of 3 hours each weekend, you will be "fast-tracked" to a higher-level for the DCT competition. You will learn fast-paced but safe driving, flowing with the team, co-navigating GPS waypoints, and watching each other's back. Itching to join a unique DCT Team? We're waiting for you ๐Ÿ‘

  4. What you perhaps can do is buy the Garmin GLO 2: Garmin GLO 2: Reviewed By A Professional Navigator โ€“ Casual Navigation This bluetooth GPS receiver can pair with your ipad, so you end up having more accurate GPS reception. Device overheating is indeed a bit of an issue. I usually try to mount my devices in front of an AC vent to keep them cool, or sometimes hang a piece of cloth inbetween the device and the windshield to keep it in the shade.

  6. Hi, Will be my 1st newbie drive on 19th. Just got an offroad capable vehicle. 2024 Jeep Wrangler Light Blue 2dr. Watched the newbie video briefing. I will buy the 2way radio from dragon mart and the offroad flag this week. Is it mandatory to have an air compressor for the drive? I will buy one soon, but did not want to buy all the necessary equipment before my 1st ride. Want to see the different options out there. Is that okay? Thank you
