  2. For those happy to spend a bit extra on a quality compressor, but don't want to shell out on ARB, I bought a Mean Mother portable compressor from Ravon Offroad . On offer for 750AED, 3 year warranty, pulls 180 litres per min, and was delivered to my house next day. The thing is a beast. Contact 055 311 1564.

  3. Here is a great overview written by @Frederic that gives a knowledge boost about compressors. While it’s 3 years old, it still holds. Hope it helps.

Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year. 2024 LC250 Prado Adventure, Black. Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details. Yes, but been a while since I've been on the sand. I used to drive with Almost4x4, and completed 12+ drives with them all over the UAE. I stopped in 2021 when I sold my FJ. Looking to get back into some light/medium offroading, and hoping that muscle memory kicks in Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets. Confirmed. Also have full safety and recovery gear onboard. Advise if you don’t have a programable radio and safety flag. I have both. MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING Will do.

  10. Just make sure you get used to the notion of securing and strapping any loose items in your vehicle. The drive on Saturday is smooth but in general you want to get into the habit of not having any loose items in your vehicle. Don’t worry about it for Saturday but it’s the habit and reflex of securing any moving object when you drive anywhere outside the tarmac. Well done and congrats on getting your gear !

  11. the camel is faster than the dobinsons but far less reliable. Keep your Dobinsons. I have one too and very happy with it.

  12. Dear @Osamamasfaryand @Raghav1996 A flag, radio, and compressor will be needed from the second drive onwards. For your very first drive we can allow for some exceptions and we will try to help out. Have a look at the topics that @Jose Luis Camposhad posted here above. In one single trip to Dragon Mart you can get all three sorted for low cost: - Motorola or Crony MT777 (140dhs approx) or Baofeng UV5R (80dhs approx) radio. - Flag (40-80dhs approx). - Compressor: The big double cylinder camel compressors is around 300dhs. Speedex has it as well under the name VITALY. There are also smaller models but don't expect them to last more than 2 drives. The ARB inbuilt compressors are indeed great but definitely not needed as a beginner.

  13. Hi @Jose Luis Campos. I haven't continued to work on this as it seemed thus far to be more effort than perceived value at the moment. I've been without for several years now and my car tells me when something isn't right with the pressure. By the way, I did check with ScanGauge and they said: "Unfortunately the ScanGauge3 will not look XGauge codes for tire pressure in a Mitsubishi."

  14. Hi Frederic, 2024 2dr Rubicon light blue. 0 off-road experience. Front and read tow hook confirmed. DO NOT have safety flag, radio, or air compressor I have watched the newbie video briefing. I have not had the time to go somewhere and leave the car to get aircompressor installed. This is all new to me tbh. I might have time on Friday. I was told to go to international city for the 3 items. I called Jeepers and was quoted 2900 for their inhouse air compressor brand which would be onboard installed under the passenger seat. I was frankly hoping someone could help me with deflating with their gear for the 1st ride. I wanted to look for cheaper place to get it done, and ask other riders where they got theirs done. If not possible that way, I need ro contact Jeepers and make appointment for tomorrow.

  17. Hi Frederic, Pleasure to meet you! My responses below. Please share your vehicle details - Jeep, grand cherokee, brown, 2018 Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details. - I attended a masterclass session (4h) with Gaurav on 26 October 2024. No experience beyond that. Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets. --> Confirmed Advise if you don’t have a programable radio and safety flag. - I have ordered a programmable radio and it should be with me today/tomorrow. I have a safety flag but struggle with attaching it to the jeep (no shop has any bracket for a grand cherokee). Any recommendations would be welcomed! Otherwise, we may have to go with a suction option. My understanding is that I am still on the waiting list and cannot attend the event unless other people drop out, correct? Thanks a lot and glad to be part of Carnity! Kuba
