MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquettes Emergency details for all off roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: 08:30 AM (PLANNED DEPARTURE) Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/acreM77zLxB2MRu76 Action Plan: In the spirit of a true overland desert drive, we'll dedicate the day to covering around 150 Km of open sand and tracks. The plan is to go from Faya to the Sweihan Pond, on to the Tilal section of Sweihan, where we'll take a break at a local restaurant, and we'll have the opportunity to refuel (if needed) then continue on to Nahil's big dunes, reaching the Pac-Man dunes (marked by the circular irrigation fields), and finally end the drive at Nahil's lake (a magic place close to our planned exit point). The route will favor the safety of the drive and is more focused on developing the drivers' endurance skills, rather than on adrenaline and thrills, as the keys to true overland drives are consistency, mental focus, patience, and the choice of the best, cleanest routes. Along the route, we'll share tips on orienteering and navigating in open spaces. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face masks, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: 05:30 PM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. RECOMMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR: Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge Compressor (MANDATORY) Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY) Off-road flag (MANDATORY) Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles First-aid kit Fire extinguisher. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 12 PM. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others. Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month. PLEASE RSVP ON THE CALENDAR

@Frederic thank you for accepting me in your drive - it felt good to be on the sand after the DCT and the car being side-lined at the garage. @Luke K P you managed the convoy and recoveries very quickly, and was sharp with your instructions - well done mate @Andrew John Melvill i can see that you were enjoying your SL role - following the green Trooper is not an easy task.... to the rest of the gang - it was a pleasure to drive with you (and some of you again), and wish you a lovely week. you all drove amazingly well. the couple of stucks and refusals were normal for a Newbie drive, considering that the sand was soft and Frederic were pushing you.. Please share your vehicle details - Mitsubishi Pajero, 2020, white (3.8L) For driving experience I took the basic course with Carnity and have done some easy driving in the desert to have a fire with my family. Recently got stuck in Al Qudra! Yes it has both front and rear hooks. I have a radio and a safety flag. I have an air compressor but I am worried it might not be able to do all 4 tires in one go, but I am going to give this a test run before Saturday.

SUPPORT TEAM Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 any level "Carnity" drives are required after your Intermediate promotion to become eligible for the Support Team. Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new offroaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Being invited to an Advisor role means we put our faith in you as a passionate club member who displays maturity and passion to carry your knowledge on to new off-roaders who are still progressing through the ranks.

Hey everyone, I have a quick question—if anyone knows the answer or can refer me to someone, I’d appreciate it. I drive a Grand Cherokee and am looking for a good flag mount. So far, I haven’t been able to find anything except suction mounts, which many people seem to discourage. Should I consider customizing a mount, or is there something available online that can be securely installed on my grand Cherokee. Thanks

Hmmm. tough one mate. Lets start with the budget and what are your future plans? Irrespective of your suspension set-up / tyres, going through Badayer tracks is not going to be comfortable with all the cross-tracks....
