As previously mentioned @Benje_Junior will take half of the convoy, we have decided that given the mix we have, we will add a new event that we will make a FB+, all of the Fewbies will come with me in convoy 1. All Fb+ and Intermediate will go with Ben on his fb+ the level can be up to you guys and whatever you are comfortable with. Therefore, do not be surprised if your name disappears from the main event and you appear in a new one as we move you guys between events, the meeting point remains the same and we will meet up in the middle for a chat and coffee break etc. Convoy 1 Davie will line up on the right of the track and convoy 2 Ben will line up on the left side of the track Convoy has been updated Davie will use Ch4 446.081 and Ben will use Ch2 446.031 The convoy list will be as below

SUPPORT TEAM Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 any level "Carnity" drives are required after your Intermediate promotion to become eligible for the Support Team. Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new offroaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Being invited to an Advisor role means we put our faith in you as a passionate club member who displays maturity and passion to carry your knowledge on to new off-roaders who are still progressing through the ranks.

DRIVE DESCRIPTION Welcome to Carnity off road club Fewbie+ drive in the beautiful Abu Dhabi Desert, please ensure your off-road gear is as per your rank and you bring lots of enthusiasm and an abundance of willingness to learn with you. MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie Plus and above Meeting time: 6:30 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/FxrySCvKzeZLVdx7A Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water & snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Newbie and above, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, Intermediate and above, Tow Rope and 2 soft Shackles. Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear. Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. Hi Frederick I have a White Toyota Land Cruiser (2023), I completed the master class a month ago. No other experience. Vehicle has front and rear tow hooks. I have a programmable radio and compressor, no safety flag

Hi Frederic! Hope all good have a Ford Ranger Raptor 2024 - blue colour. have driven couple of times in dessert but nothing too serious and no dunes bashing. So basically new I do have compressor, flag, front and back tow hooks. dont have programable radio. lookibg forward

So we will be able to accommodate everyone for this drive, unless things change between now and Friday 12-noon. Therefore, in order for us to plan this drive, please ensure that if your own plans have changed that you remove your RSVP as soon as possible. The plan is to split into two convoys leave the meeting point in Sweihan and head to Al Fayha (reversal of our usual routing) along the way meeting up at the foxhole rock formation mid drive, splitting into two convoys will depend on how many confirmed members we have Friday lunchtime. I've chosen the title "Dune Basher," but truthfully, I prefer to think of myself more as a "Dune Navigator." I've ventured into various off-road adventures—overlanding, mountain exploration, and long-distance drives—but ultimately, my passion remains firmly rooted in the dunes, and there are several compelling reasons why: With overlanding and extended road trips, despite our heart's genuine desire for adventure, practicality inevitably intervenes. After some time on the road or off-road, creature comforts like a proper washroom, a cozy bed, fresh and clean food, ice, large screens, and familiar music all beckon, drawing us back home. In contrast, dune driving presents an exceptionally dynamic, versatile, and endlessly engaging experience. Each drive into the dunes offers a fresh and unpredictable journey. I find navigating the dunes particularly exhilarating, much like solving an infinite puzzle. The dunes constantly present new choices—paths we can confidently take and those we must skillfully avoid. This fluid and intuitive form of navigation excites me a lot, enabling me to lead drives effortlessly, even when I'm tired, sleepy, or sloshed. The challenge and thrill of identifying the best lines across the sand offer a unique form of pleasure, one that deeply resonates with my love for exploration while maintaining harmony with nature and respecting its delicate ecosystem and rules. Moreover, each dune crest reveals a breathtaking and unique viewpoint, an unbeatable reward exclusive to this form of exploration. These ever-changing views from atop each dune are truly irreplaceable, adding an exceptional dimension to every journey and making the experience irresistibly captivating. Dune navigation also offers significant additional benefits compared to overlanding: Quick and spontaneous adventures: You can head out for a few hours or an entire day, making it easier to accommodate a busy schedule. Lower logistical burden: Fewer preparations and supplies are needed, making dune trips more accessible and less cumbersome. Skill enhancement: Dune navigation significantly improves driving skills, reflexes, and decision-making abilities, which are less intensely tested in overlanding. Social bonding: The dynamic and collaborative nature of dune navigation fosters stronger camaraderie and teamwork among fellow enthusiasts. These added benefits further solidify dune navigation as my preferred off-road pursuit, offering unmatched excitement and convenience.

Fantastic topic, and a good opportunity for some self-reflection. As much as i love a brisk pace to carve our way through pristine dunes, i am only really at ease when i can navigate and have the time to observe the terrain and "get lost in time". There is something about the undulating terrain, the way the sand crumbles and shifts, and how the car engine noise and throttle provides the perfect soundtrack. Just like @Aser, time is my main enemy, otherwise i would prefer long overlanding treks in UAE and abroad. Two years ago we spent 12 days on the road in Oman, and i still look back at it as being one of our best vacations ever.
