Spectacular Sunday 🔥 Thanks for stepping in and delivering a lovely drive for us @Asif Hussain. The big dunes at Salamat can be intimidating the first time you ride them but everyone tackled everything that was thrown at us. @ChrisW thanks to the trusty winch once again making light work for us 👏 Coffee at the local ADNOC was the icing on the cake. I'll puy some pics in the gallery, but videos of @Sam Selim and @Giacomo are here in this google photos link https://photos.app.goo.gl/jSvPw1oDsR4k9YYw7 See you all again soon, and hope to see @DP1011 on the next one with us.6 points

A nice morning out! Everyone made it on time, and after a short briefing we hit the dunes with a good pace over the various rolling dunes the area has to offer. With hardly any refusals and no stucks, we reached Pink Rock itself very quickly, and took our first break with the fantastic views it had to offer. I decided to head further south towards the various bigger dunes that lay on our way towards Big Red. As my trusty Trooper had been in the shop for 5 weeks, this drive was for me a bit of a shakedown and i had to keep a close watch to the engine temperatures. Luckily everything was fine. We did various climbs, loops, and sideys, and everyone managed brilliantly. While i was contemplating to head over to Big Red, @Vijaya Kumar Doppa his daughter was feeling unwell, probably from the rollercoaster effects passenger undergo on these kinds of drives. I hope she is feeling better now and can join us again in the future. We still had some time left while taking Vijaya to the exit, but i decided not to push our luck by heading towards Big Red, as i knew that area requires multiple high-powered climbs and the temperature was inching closer to 40 degrees now. We exited all together on a drive that was a bit shorter than my usual drives, but that also meant it was still doable to inflate, and perhaps some of us could go and enjoy a breakfast @vinayak n you were brilliant as second lead, always keeping enough distance and reacting quickly whenever i had to do little reroutes. @Ishak you had an easy job today, so you can save your energy for next week's leaders lead @J-P L was my original sweep, and i was sure you'd been fine sweeping us, but @Imteeaz was the second sweep today and it was a great sight today to see a Jimney and a Patrol closing our ranks like brothers in arms. 🧑🤝🧑 With the summer temperatures increasing we will need to be mindful of our cars, as the strain of climbing bigger dunes at +40C degrees is quite taxing on our cars. I've been in this hobby for 8 years now and learned when to push and when to let the car cool down. During both breaks we took, my engine temperature dropped from 96 quickly back to 88, and that helped a lot to tackle the last bigger dunes before we exited. I recommend everyone to keep a close watch on your engine and transmission temperatures coming summer, and if in doubt to get it checked out. See you all in the dunes again soon! Everyone worked together as a team to enable us to calmly and safely deal with the situation. I really did appreciate all of the patience that everyone showed today and the great team work displayed with the rope work and the exceptional shovelling that was on display. I truly hope everyone learned from this experience and as @Luke K P says it could happen to any of us. great second lead by @Alex M follow my last minute corrections and smoothing the lines out for you all to follow, thanks and appreciated. Our sweep for the day was @Andrew John Melvill who did an amazing job keeping me informed and some excellent rope work during our recovery. thanks Andrew always great to have you in the convoy. And lastly we had our newly promoted Advisor @Luke K P in the Center of the convoy. What can I say, except, brilliant as always mate, you brought a calmness to proceedings as only you can, great patience and knowledge to assist the few refusals we had and fantastic supper and assistance during the last stuck making it an easier task than it could of been receiving the LC. Appreciate all the effort and assistance today mate, thanks again. thanks to all that joined us for coffee, it was fantastic to chat and get to know you all 😃 Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend and here is a small video to relive the experience https://www.relive.com/view/vrqDywRPVLv3 points

What a morning! First of all, THANK YOU to everyone for your help and patience today. Teamwork is how off-roading works, and everyone showed great spirit today during the recovery. These do happen to everyone at some point,. We ALL. get a turn 😅😅😅 @Davie Smooth_Operator great leading, @Alex M thanks for finessing Davies lines and thx for make sure we didn't leave anyone behind @Andrew John Melvill We covered a nice bunch of different terrain in nice clean sand. Up and down over some big dunes. Some sidie practise, and navigating through soft patches. I've never driven in this part of Dubai before... Great fun. After all that sand play.. stopping for a ice coffee at last exit at the end was HEAVENLY! enjoy the rest of your weekend, and hope to see you all again soon! If you took any photos, please add them to the drive gallery 🙏2 points

RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @vinayak n@Myrko@Lukas Lewis@Kirill K@[email protected].@Zsolt@JC_E@Yurybel@Vijaya Kumar Doppa@Carl Stanley@J-P L Thank you all for signing up! As you are probably well aware, the heat has started to kick in already, which means some precautions will be in place. 1) Please arrive by 5.45AM so you have time to deflate and set up your flag. I'd like to get the convoy moving by 6.10AM latest. Please be on time guys. 2) The aim is to have a decent paced drive and to cover quite some ground. That will surely help to keep the cars cooler. 3) Keep a close watch on your heat gauge throughout the drive. Do let us know immediately if you see any signs of overheating. 4) The overall terrain choice might be a bit altered to avoid constant pushing of the vehicles especially towards the end of the drive. We will be using Channel 4: 446.081Mhz as our radio channel to communicate during the drive. See you all tomorrow morning !2 points
