  1. In silence vast, the desert lies, Beneath the blaze of endless skies. Its golden dunes in stillness keep The secrets buried, dreams asleep. A whisper stirs — a stream once near, Now memory in the thirst of year. Yet when the moon spills silver light, The sand recalls the water’s flight. Alone, it sings in tones austere, A hymn of longing, sharp and clear — Of solitude the sun can’t dry, Nor time erase, nor wind deny. ChatGpt....😝

  2. @Frederic You got the big guns at least go all the way . Here is my twist on the ChatGPT version of things (You cracked me up when i was reading your poem btw!): Ode to Carnity: Guardians of the Dunes Across the golden endless sea, Where whispering winds roam wild and free, Carnity rides with hearts ablaze, In desert’s dance, they forge their ways. Engines roar, the sand takes flight, A thrilling chase beneath the light, But safety guides each daring run, Respecting dunes, each rise, each sun. Together bound by trust and cheer, A brotherhood that knows no fear, Through every drift and sudden slide, The team stands strong, close side by side. With steady hands and watchful eyes, They conquer dunes, embrace the skies, Yet never lose the common thread— The care, the bond, the paths they tread. Carnity’s spirit, fierce and true, In every grain, in every view, A family born of sand and speed, Where teamwork blooms in every deed. So here’s to rides beneath the stars, To safe returns from desert scars, A tribe united, wild and free— Forever proud, the Carnity.

  3. I'm stumbled into a strange corner of the internet... desert offroading inspired poetry. I'll be honest @Frederic, this was not on my bingo card for this week 😅 but i am enjoying it.....

  4. "Water, water, water....There is no shortage of water in the desert but exactly the right amount , a perfect ratio of water to rock, water to sand, insuring that wide free open, generous spacing among plants and animals, homes and towns and cities, which makes the arid West so different from any other part of the nation. There is no lack of water here unless you try to establish a city where no city should be."

  5. I’ll join you with a verse of a poem as we Latin have hot heart! Out come the shovels, gleam of silver bright, Like warriors armed, prepared for this sandy fight. Sweat drips and gleams, a desert, glistening dew, As we scoop and dig, a tireless, determined crew.

  6. Just a big thank you to @Frederic, @Mark B, @Mike M., it was a really beautiful drive and there was a lot to learn again. Good atmosphere (thanks to all for that!) and helping hands throughout the group, and special thanks to @J-P L for his kind explanations to Paula. She is really enjoying the drives, learning and feeling part of an adventurous group. Hope to see you all again soon

  8. After a much needed rest from a marvelous drive by @DP1011 with the very wise decision to change to Nahil giving us the fun and waking up earlier of course I can say I am ecstatic that I got to experience the signature roller coaster by @DP1011. Thank you and definitely a memorable desert drive that I will always remember. Truly Carnity club is a gift that keeps on giving. Thank you @Andrew John Melvill for a great second lead and @Rob S your support and quick sharp decisions made this drive even better. @Aser like I said I trust your driving line with my life, as well as @ChrisW smoothing the drive in the middle. @Beide Worku we had much fun in the back especially the exit roller coaster was an experience and a half. Thank you all for a fantastic Sunday morning, some pictures are up in the gallery

  10. Thanks again for the nice drive yesterday @Frederic Also for the entertainment after the drive, I was convinced he would have another go at it and come back when we reinflated. However faith in humanity was restored just that tiny bit when he came out and drove off after giving @Mark B the bottle of water! Also, as I was crested yesterday, the Defender came up with something I had not noticed before: Extended Mode... Did some checking and apparently, in certain conditions, the air suspension enters into that mode automatically. When it is in that setting, one can raise the vehicle higher than the regular Off Road height, by pressing /holding the brake and the up button for more than 3 seconds. Unfortunately one can not get this setting manually, but the car does seem to notice when it finds itself stuck, crested or in deep water. That little tidbit would've been helpful to know a couple of months ago, but better late then never, I guess 😅

  11. Incase this is helpful to anyone else in the future, and maybe i'm not the only one who finds the WebUI is completely non-intuitive.... if you are trying to draw a route and it is automatically snapping to roads etc.. you can change the routing style by * clicking the boots icon in the bottom left, then * selecting the non-visible dropdown menu under routing mode.. and * choosing STRAIGHT LINE
