  1. It's a good thing I don't bog myself with stuff like that other wise I would have never moved up from a bicycle!
  2. Read the thread title, it's called Leepu and Bernie. Nizamuddin aka Leepu is from Bangladesh
  3. Don't hold your breath as it could take a very long time. Until then enjoy driving a manual automatic! Lol
  4. For some reasons I never liked Saab. Their styling puts me off. Almost means I went, had a look, drove it, but since this was going to be my first car and that too with my own money I hesitated in doing the deal which turned out to be good thing as I found a much better civic shortly afterwards
  5. I've taking my P38 range Rover upto hood height as in water was just splashing on top on the hood in the front. And not on purpose. Again it was raining in Shj and there was a diversion from behind gargash showroom in industrial area as the bridge next to it was being built. I remembered the bow wave theory and kept a steady pace and soldiered on. I almost has to stop because the pickup in front of me conked and died and I didn't want to stop in deep water so went to the deeper side of the road and that's where it got real deep but thankfully I made ir

  8. You mean to say your Disco and Pathfinder both cost more than 23,000!
  9. Ah yes! I remember one time I had the company Land Cruiser pick up with me during the rains. There was not one puddle or flooded road I missed !
  10. I caught the massive brunt of it just after picking up tea and samosas from License Restaurant in Aweer. Visibility almost went down to 5 and the rain drops felt like hailstones for a second there I thought I was going to lose my windscreen. No pics or video though unfortunately.
  11. German and Italian engineering is way overrated! In my own research German engineering I've figured out they overbuild their cars for extreme cold climate usage. If you look at the systems how they are built. It's all for extreme cold. Oil coolers that are kept warm by coolant rather than air incase it's cold outside. Transmission cooling lines even having their own thermostats. Intakes warmed by coolant etc etc . But with only basic engine and trans cooling for hot weather like here. They spent months doing extreme cold weather testing and just a week in Dubai for hot climate testing and that too in the cooler months. Japs do well because they build for cold and hot temps so they are in the sweet spot. That's my thinking anyways. Most of the German car transmissions blow due to having that bullshit claim of being sealed for life and shitty cooling systems designed by the Germans leading them to overheat and fail.
  12. Is this show still going on? Man extremely cringy builds
  13. I've gotten 2 free cars till date. A 1998 Land Rover Discovery and a 2005 Range Rover. Incidentally I had a 98 D1 when I got the D1 and had/still have a 03 Range Rover when I got the 05. Both needed very minor repairs to get them back on the road and they were in great nick otherwise. But since I had no need for them I just scavenged them for parts I needed or could have needed in the future and sold them as scrap. I could have repaired them and sold them but I didn't go that route with the D1 and as for the RR me plus 2 other buddies have the same car so it became a common parts donor among the three of us. Then I had to move house and didn't have the place to keep it so sold it for scrap to the highest bidder. My next car was my first a one owner since new fully loaded low kms 91 Civic which I bought for 4k and then later sold for 6k after I had no use for it anymore. Next in line would be a buddy scored a rare 2.0 GT sports back fully loaded 91 Toyota Carina for 500 used it for two years. I had it for like 6 months in the middle and then sold it for 1500 Then we just bought a 2005 Honda Civic full auto for 3500 around 6 months back and still using it.
  14. You know how much they cost! And what if he has those black steelies which come on barebone option models!
  15. Err it's called a sunroof
  16. Or how bout you just leave the stupid idiots who thought they could cross soft sand in their sedans. P.S : FWD perform better in sand than RWD because all the weight is on the front wheels so better traction plus easier to pull weight than push weight in sand. Don't ask me how I know! P.S : Unless buried up to it's chassis a FWD will usually self recover in a flat patch.
  17. For a second there I was like WTF! As I thought ICE was referring to In Car Entertainment. And no more bass tube and pop up LCDs for Irish folk!
  18. "Don't know what is scarier, losing a nuclear weapon, or that it happens so often that there is a term for it" No prizes for guessing the reference or the term
  19. And that mountain is just slightly older than you and way less grumpy
