  1. Read the complete post. Its not to cure heating issues but just to clean up any stray debris and buildup and like everything else coolant also has a life and after around two years its pretty much done. its good practice to flush and refill with new coolant
  2. ^^^^^ That if you are tyring to cure heating issues with a flush, then not even worth the bother. Otherwise its good practise to flush out your radiator and fill it with fresh fluid every two years
  3. Ah looks better in these pics but a lot of Italian influence. Abiut time they ditched engine in the front tranmission in the rear setup. And hope got rid of the rear leaf spring suspension.
  4. How much does it cost?. Nothing. Get under your car and there should be a drain plug. Open it and ket everything flush out. Fill it with water and and radiator cleaning additive you prefer. Drive the car around for 15 minutes and drain it again. And then fill with coolant. Best would be to take it out and reverse flush it but Im guessing you DIY skills are nowhere near that level
  5. Only modern cars I know that used leaf springs was the XJ, Xtrail and Corvette.
  6. Unless its a really good deal and you are willing to the garage runaround with lots of trips to sharjah and even after that the total spend comes in well below market price, only then its worth it. Otherwise its just a KIA, walk away. They a dime a dozen of those around.
  7. Replace the fender, no one here Ive seen does a good filler and sanding down to smoot finish job which you cant tell from 5 miles away is filled with bodyfiller because its is more wavy than the sea on a stormy day. Even a used one in good condition i.e no dents and dings from scrap is preferable than repairing the old one
  8. Too Ferrari-ish and not enough Corvette Or maybe its just the red paint?
  9. From that tiny 0.5 pixel by 0.5 pixel tiny pic I can tell you its an auction car. Because it has the lot number sticker on the driver side windscreen. Most probably copart, from the look of the pic. GCC specs? KIA Sportage?
  10. Well not much difference between carbohydrates and carburettors. Both constantly give you endless problems
  11. New springs settle, these are used so already 'settled'
  12. Only problem with that is. Luxgen is Taiwanese and not Korean! LOL
  13. The new thing is clear wrapping the front end. That way you dont have that ugly thing infront of your car
  14. Told you to look for other Pajero variants springs. Not possible to have only one for so many different variants. I can bet you eveb swb and lwb are different
  15. Just pick any porsche. They all look the same
  16. WTF is a spanner test? Checking worn bushes is the easiet thing to do. Get a rod or a long screw driver a jiggle all the joints and see for excessive play in any.
  17. The title should be who owns who. As to exactly who made my previous car. I knew exactly who made my car because his name and signature was on a brass plaque from Land Rover Special Vehicle Division on my door jam.
  18. I dunno now but before AC Delco had a real nice site that let you do this for American cars. Or one can in most cases just lookup the part manufacturer and number off the bit itself and look it up. Like most ac compressors are made by denso from jap to eurp exotics. Electric bits by magnetto marielli or something like that. Most europeans cars have a lot of valeo bits.
  19. Im like that now I at most change my pads only once during the ownership of my cars . Since most of the time I just cruise to a stop. Old habit I picked up fron doing so much on road convoy driving keep an eye out for the 3 or 4 th car in front of you or as mucb far as you can see and anticipate in advance if you need to slow down if so gently lift off of the gas and then slowly tap the brakes if coning to a halt. I see people givinf it the full beans when 500 mtrs ahead of you the signal just turnee red and then slam the brakes hard 70 mtrs from it.
  20. Thats why I love National Auto for LR bits they already stock those and ask you which one you want even let you conpare both of them
  21. Montero sport is basically the new name for their l200 pickup based 4x4 previously kown as the Nativa. Just like the fortuner is based on the hilux pickup
  22. Old trick, always works with me. Take cash with you, dont talk price over the phone. Go see the car, test drive it etc etc once you know its a good one and you want it. dont make any Ill let you know, lets make an appointment to get it checked at xyz a few days from now etc etc. Take out the cash of what you want to pay for it and slam it on the hood. look mate heres the money, serious buyer here with cash in hand lets go now and transfer it and save your self the trouble of showing the car everyother day to tyre kickers. 9 times out of 10 this has worked for me. maybe 1 or 2k up and down from the offer made. Pressurize the seller into selling it.
  23. Dealers usually have a dealers plate, might have seen then white plate with red numbers and lettering in Arabic . Those are good to go, you can drive and take them anywhere with those plates. Ras Al Khor is a one stop shop. They have a tasjeel in it as well as many car testing places right outside. But fortunately Ive never needed any of these services.
