Good to hear that, it was a small hose and nothing major. Hope your transmission is saved. Also ask mechanic to do more thorough checks to avoid such breakdowns, as you were extremely lucky that we were close to exit. If there was a one big dune in between to cross, we wouldn't be able to execute that recovery with stock cars. Professional desert recoveries like AAA and others cost from 1000 to 3000 dhs depending on the work involved, so making sure your desert toy is always happy and healthy is even more important than our weekday cars.

Yes, he is correct because at times Absolute Newbie drive is not a fair ground to judge your previous experience and that's why we request you to do 1 more newbie drive. Please make sure to self-declare your off-road experience on that Newbie drive post, so that trip lead and support team can access your skills accordingly.

That @John Vanderbleek FJ boot was serving proper English Breakfast in one of the earlier Sweihan drive that I couldn't join but reminded me of our pre-covid love and socializing by sharing food and stories together. All of Abu Dhabi boys are always excited and humble to welcome Carnity family home.

Calling all passionate photographers to join - Action Photography Drive. The plan is to position all photographers at various creative angles to capture each car's "action shots" while doing side sloping, long hill climb, car poses with or without drivers. Feel free to carry all your photography gears and lenses you like, as the drive is going to be super easy track-based newbie level drive, but action shot drivers have to be fewbie and above for safety reasons. We may split the convoy in half to have an equal share of photographers and drivers on every side slope, long hill climb or scenic spot. This Action Photography Drive RSVP is slightly flexible to create a balanced group and support. Who should join? Professional or Passionate Photographers. People who love their vehicle and like to get their action shots. People who love to explore and test their go-pro, insta360 settings. Social media enthusiast looking for next great reel, dp or hero shot. P.S. No drone allowed in this drive for safety reasons and better control. Look out for a Drone drive shortly. What to expect? Learn about your camera and photography from others. Test your action photography skills and settings. Sample Shots from Nov 2018, similar drive. This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and strictly follow these guidelines in order not to jeopardize someone's health, and to ensure we can keep organizing these drives safely. It wasnt coolant hose surely from the sand I smelled where spillage trail goes back to 50 plus meters. Secondly you mentioned heat gauge didnt move twice. My first bet is transmission oil from the ATF smell with burnt crisp. Or second bet i would say engine oil, but that's hard to leak like this and engine still running fine without getting overheat. Let's see what garage says, as we are not mechanic and we can only do the guesswork after such incident.
