  1. Few questions to fill the gap and advise accordingly: Have you checked with Al futtaim, that they will void the warranty if not maintained by them? As I recall this arm twisting warranty threat has been over in 2016 when authorities announced some news pertaining that owners can service their cars in the outside garage and keep the receipts for warranty - search here there was a thread shared by Barry if I rem correctly. What is the price difference of 80K service at the dealer and outside at class A garage? Do you plan to keep this car for long or planning to sell within a year or so?
  2. Well, the title of useless SUV is a click-bait, but I don't deny much of his choices unless you have a deep pocket. Few of the good and capable 4x4 in the list that's not at all useless but god damn expensive for dune bashing. Hummer H2 - Seen it doing wonders Range Rover - Brilliant and capable offroader Mercedes G63 - Probably the GOD of offroading with 3 independent diff locks - WOW Jeep Cherokee Land Rover Discovery Chevrolet Blazer Chevrolet Tahoe
  3. As far as you have driven in the sand before, and you are not an absolute newbie in the sand then you will be fine with the night drive in the desert. @Rahimdad trip leader will do the briefing explaining all the points of convoy driving, safety, 4x4 familiarization, self-recovery and all essentials of night drive before the drive.
  4. I recall that as per my last research to harness real power gain of Unichip you need to upgrade the spark plugs, coils and HT lead. That's where MSD came in the picture and this duo of Unichip + MSD Ignition does wonder for many 4x4 but not in Pajero case. If anyone has done this power mod in Pajero, please share your experience. My personal advise @Jas Gajaria don't jump into it based hearsay unless you see 1 Pajero with Unichip running for at least 6 months without busting the engine or causing any complications. All power mods are relatively short life and that's why car manufacturer tune engines on conservative hp and torque figures. You push this number higher, lesser the engine life becomes.
  5. I suppose too, and I'm sure when we are thinking of so many options from our couch, these guys must have mastered it to the next level of intelligence before even implementing it.
  6. That's the whole point to reduce the downtime of charging.
  7. Looks like yes to your question, as they are using this strip with a flexible arm to charge the electric car so even if the car moves around they are still drivable.
  8. Now, this something might be a sustainable outlook for electric cars.
  9. Is that Pajero club is also supported or promoted by some workshop......? Then it's pretty obvious 🤐
  10. Last I research a few years back and stall this idea after knowing that Unichip does a lot of magic with other cars, but not with Pajero as it interferes a lot and lot of complication may arise. With the change in time, they might be supporting Pajero now, so have you checked with Unichip official site if they are offering any Pajero specific Unichip.....?
  11. Ouch, that's an expensive mistake to make. Firstly we advise everyone that never drive in LO gear as LO gear only meant for recovery, tugging, or a short drive in a sticky situation. You even surpassed that by driving when the car was overheating, but thank god you didn't blow your engine as that could have been done in next few seconds if your transmission wouldn't have failed.
  12. That's weird, which model and how many kms? Have you been driving in LO gear in offroad....? To cook oil and transmission....?
  13. Yours is a different breed Pajero, trust me on this. I have taken your model to sweihan and kept a pace with modified jeeps and patrol, back in 2009 before I bought mine. Remember your Pajero made it to iftar bowl from left, more than 70% stock 4x4 cant make it even with 4 litre engine. What sertac is referring is totally different and fully restrictive with tons of sensors and limiter and down shifter curses.
  14. Ramadan Kareem to all you and your loved ones.
  15. Welcoming night drives is always fun to enjoy the desert at night, which is one of the most amazing experience. You can enjoy the silence, cloud full of stars, escape the heat, enjoy the breeze and sometimes even fog. As it's a first night drive, so we will start a little easy and then gradually bump up the pace and level, so that everyone can get hang of it and enjoy safely. We will start from Bidayer and play around the big red first from all sides and then head towards the Pink rock and play all the way on all peak dunes. Will end the drive at Pink Rock and lay our spread for suhoor with the newbie and fewbie convoy. Anyone who wishes to leave early can do so by 4 AM, as we reach to Pink Rock near 2nd Dec Cafeteria exit. When: 9 May 2019, Thursday Meeting time: 11:00 PM, the convoy will move sharply at 11:15 PM Where: Big Red Entrance at Bidayer GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/PUQeQ7CXejfeQsJa7 Level of drive: Intermediate and above Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. 18. What do you guys think of this creative rendering of the proposed Ford Mustang SUV, sometimes in 2020? I personally liked it and if it comes close to this muscle looks, it will help prosper the legend name.
  19. It was nice meeting you too Ahmed. Your clicks are ochin krasivaya Appreciate if you both can spend a few minutes on the first newbie drive feedback to help us improve further
  20. Search KT, I saw this posted in my FB feed from Khaleej times
  21. Don't rev hard if you see these radars in Sharjah, as if your car makes more than 95 decibels sound these radar will issue a fine of 2000 dhs and 12 black points. Pretty good initiative to kill the noise pollution. Nice way to deter hooliganism on public roads.
