  1. Thanks @Frederic for giving me wonderful support in that extra adventurous night drive where we were having 1 stuck every 10 min average. I was really very fortunate to have you as a second sweep that night. Without your physical and calculative support and patience I would have gone crazy with so many stucks in one drive. Your team player attitude is really something special that we rarely see in today's offroader. Really thank you from the bottom of my heart, when I was fully exhausted and drained that I crashed first on the mat where we suppose to eat, which I have never done that before. You are on a very right path to excel and learn lot more than others to reach the higher levels, just because you "genuinely" love to help people and in return learn lot more than just usual recovery skills.
  2. I think the custom making and fitting is not there in Royal Pipes and they send customer to its another shop in nearby vicinity so if the counter staff are not supporting, as them the address of Royal pipes custom shop - I can't recall the location but I visited and sat for 2 hours there few years back. Royal pipes are life savior at times, seriously. https://goo.gl/maps/uTA1J4qVu3rE1weF7
  3. Then in this scenario it can't be wheel balancing, its more mechanically powered or engine related issue, that requires physical inspection to be 100% sure. Totally agree with @Barry and @shadow79 advise and those both are the quiet close possibility as it's vibrating only while hitting the gas. It's worth digging into how axle has been repaired earlier, because while axle is powered it may be causing this vibration.
  4. Go to this tire and accessory market in sharjah (highlighted area) and you will find plenty of accessory shops in one line. So that you can compare the right fit product vs pricing in one visit and get it install. Avoid weekends, as they are super busy and you might have to visit again if installing this remote starter is a lengthy task. https://goo.gl/maps/nS3pQUU1THnCauuE7 If you are based in Dubai, you can visit the naif car accessory market having 100's of shops selling these remote starter kit. It's diagonally opposite the Hyatt Regency after the shindaga tunnel. https://goo.gl/maps/AM5p4SwE26VF4QtG9
  5. You are most welcome and it was nice meeting you as well. Looking forward to seeing you starting your new offroad life with new 4x4 following the offroad structure from newbie level. That will be safe and more enjoyable for you and your 4x4, to test its limits and its capabilities with slow and steady pace.
  6. Yes you are right for badly balanced wheel, but I doubt mildly unbalanced wheel. Due to lazy labour or during his last Oman trip he must have lost some little balancing weight causing all this. For businesses you can filter as per your Emirates or neighbouring Emirates to narrow down the results. Also for such small job you can go to any good tire shop near you, just make sure you stand on their head to watch 0 and 0 on both sides. That's it.
  7. Yes, that's what he mentioned vibration is there constantly at 40-60 and increases if he accelerate. After 60 it goes away. Please confirm if you at 60 and leave the gas pedal to drop till 40, is it vibrating in that 60-40 band? If yes, wheel balancing could be the main culprit. If not, Barry is right?
  8. Call these 5 Jeep scrap yard in sharjah and check first, if it fails walking around Sajja in this heat or trading barry with red horse is your best bet https://carnity.com/search?&q=jeep&type=cms_records5&nodes=86&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy I hope he must have tried this already and if not HELL YES, best place to get new parts, real quick
  9. Wheel balancing still my first doubt as its the cheapest and most basic thing to eliminate before doubting expensive causes. Secondly wheel balancing issue mostly arise in set speed range like 40-60 and 100-120 favorite range. Another thing I doubt could be the wheel bearing. You can check that too while the wheel alignment guy is done and car still on the lift/jack, hold the front tires and shake them side-by-side and up-and-down by hand, if you feel any play it must be wheel bearing causing this vibration.
  10. He is indeed having very superior driving skills on and offroad - Pun intended
  11. At first I'm really doubting on wheel balancing and not alignment. Get the wheel balancing done from a "GOOD WORKSHOP" and stand on there head to see 0 and 0 on both sides of each wheel, as many times if you are standing outside or on phone, the low paid worker leave the balancing at 15 and 0 or vice versa that cause such strange vibrations at different speeds. Second while getting the balancing, ask them to open the tire and clean from inside if there is any sand or rubber dust has formed. This usually appear in offroad cars after the pop out, but getting this checked while at it can save tons on blind shooting the parts. I still didn't get when you said tires are new and can last another two months.....! What's the date of manufacturing on tires, and share the close up picture of front tires showing the shoulder and main tread left. If tires are old and worn out with uneven wearing can cause this issue too, occasionally. After getting the tire balance, go and inflate all 4 tires at same PSI as per OEM advise, maybe 30-35 PSI and then check on highway if you still have the same vibration. As many times tire guys inflate tires at 45+ psi making all situations even worst to debug.
  12. That's a very good offroad experience and looking forward to see you tonite. In Carnity Offroad club, every new joiner supposed to go through a brief (few times) that last for 30 minutes. With your experience you should at least go through it once before you drive here. Can you please come to meeting point at 9:30 so that we can arrange for your brief. Please confirm so that I and Rahimdad can arrive early accordingly.
  13. How many kms car have been driven? Is it regularly maintained or just living on oil change from petrol station? Explain the type of vibration you are getting as much as you can to pin point in right direction. Example, if its vibrating the steering alone, or vibrating the front end body or rear end body? Is it on just specific speed or through some speed range as you mentioned 40-60 km, after that at 100-140 is it smooth? Has anyone advised you for mounting change or you just did it by yourself after buying the car? Vibrations in general is very broad term, some are caused by unbalance tires, steering or track rod balancing issue, wheel bearing issue and few other causes. Engine and gear mounting produces an initial jerk or jerk while braking and not really a vibration tbh.
  14. Anyone has a contact of good Mig welder in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman for automotive welding? It's a small welding job, but need a credible welding workshop whose work will have no issues with RTA passing. We checked with RTA and they readily accept MIG weld jobs. Thanks in advance.
  15. @MATHEW FELEX thanks for explaining your offroad driving experience in detail and you should be fine for joining this drive. Rahimdad will brief you shortly as he is little busy after his vacation. @Roshan Abraham welcome to Carnity and it's offroad club, can you please share your previous offroad experience and which 4x4 you drive?
  16. BECAUSE Next time quote them your fuel cost, car cost, time cost + part = They will understand Some people have a sad mentality and ZERO consideration for others time, money, talent & knowledge.
  17. What is your previous offroad experience? And how many drives you have completed with Carnity? I have assigned newbie as of now, but we might change it to fewbie based on your experience.
  18. No please, don't even drive with the faulty gear. It may catch instant and uncontrollable fire in no time. I have seen one recently and hot gear oil spread the fire under dashboard and foot well in seconds.
  19. You seem like another good story teller like our resident Rahimdad - Master of all stories and trip reports. ......One time at band camp......
