  1. Totally agree, you call it a fish market and I call these gold souq and meena bazaar
  2. Very nice saying Well for Faya, it's nothing is clear whether they are digging a gully for cable or for restricting people to climb. Either way, I'm actually happy as last few times I visited Faya and realize that now it has an abnormal crowd from any of the last year that people were sitting on the whole outline and on the base of Faya dune. This place has gone crazy overtime to attract 5000 people instead of 500 people during winter - literally 10x crowd. Sitting on the outline (ridge) should be banned, as it's risky for them and plus when a crazy driver sees so many spectators they do even more crazy stunts to be a superstar. @desertdude whenever such incident happens, there is some reaction from the authorities and then that reaction gets multiplied by rumors more than often. Sharjah Police clearly mentioned below violations and nothing for filter, exhaust or turbo. If the car has a valid number plate then it should be good enough to venture anywhere safely without being reckless, crazy or simply stupid. And even RTA is not really bad as much as people scream and shout for exhaust. I'm running freeflow exhaust with reasonable noise in Pajero and for 5 years it gets passed without any issue. My Mustang had Borla hushflow and it always got passed without any issue. RTA concern is outrageously loud exhaust and they do have certain decibel level test at full throttle, every passing I see them revving my Pajero and then tick the check mark. At the end of the day RTA also has humans and their main concern is safety + no annoyance to others. I live in Warqa and hear all sort of crazy sounding cars, quads and bikes revving in the middle of the night and realize why RTA being strict so that people can sleep peacefully.
  3. Answering someone question from the PM Last week I had 27 likes and a few days later jumped to 67, now dropped to 61 in a week: My secret is whenever I take good pictures and share in gallery everyone likes that and my like count jumps up @Barry @treks & @skumar83 secret is, they genuinely help people and get likes from them & others who agree with them @desertdude get likes by sharp and twisted comment that many people like and hate at the same time, lol @Rahimdad gets by pics like me and also by helping others @Jeh & @sertac shares new stuff, tech, awe post or funny memes @Asif Hussain & @EmVarlet are a silent observer but sometimes speaks little that worth more than a thousand words. So the bottom line is there is no one recipe to get maximum likes but you can be creative in your own way. My technical knowledge is not even a fraction of what Barry, Treks, and Shadow have to help people with so many specific solutions but still, I help till the point I can and be friendly and call others who can help.
  4. Wow, rev limiter set at 8.5. Would love to hear engine roaring at 8K rpm at least
  5. Call these three guys and ask, or you can even post your query on their business listing page Simply use a search button with Toyota - go to advanced search and filter business listing with used scrapyard subcategory
  6. Thanks, just make sure that your FJC front and back tow hooks are intact.

Does anyone been to ADNOC lately......? I visited 5-6 times since they launch 10 dhs / self-serve. Always seen cars queuing up on self-serve and hardly seen one or two cars at 10 dhs bay. Asking 18 per fuel up seems quite reasonable if they are coming to your house and office, but will see how many will use this service eventually. As people willing to spend this amount has drivers anyways who will be refueling all their household cars every week. I am not sure if it's any govt supported or regulated entity but seems like a new startup with a new idea - seen a refueling testing video last month or so. Indeed it's a different and new concept, wouldn't mind trying once they pass the test of time but every time I doubt.
  8. Welcome, Rana and Faiz to the Carnity and Offroad club. Faiz: Which 4x4 you drive? Rana: Hope your wrangler has usable front and back tow hooks?
  9. Secondly, all of our cars are street legal and fully inspected and passed by RTA for roadworthiness and not running any special fuel, twin turbo's, max boost etc. like in desert challenge cars.
  10. As far as anyone drives sensibly and not recklessly - driving and kicking tires in 2WD and endangering others and his own life, I don't think authorities will have an issue with that. Our high-level drives include the difficult terrains but still, we drive sensibly and adhere to all safety aspects and always point out drivers when they are two-wheeling on top of dunes. Hope you remember that
  11. God bless the authorities here for taking such an instant action to control such accidents in the desert. Very well laid out and this needs to be properly shared, advertised and enforced to every offroader in UAE. https://www.khaleejtimes.com/nation/sharjah/police-intensify-patrolling-of-deserts-mountain-areas-in-sharjah
  12. It was a joke made for the desertdude comment that he has an issue with a limited edition concept.
  13. Instead of chinese or thai ones, I will highly recommend the used ones from a scrapyard. You can find which scrapyard deals with Toyota and finding Camry (most common) axle will be a piece of cake https://carnity.com/business_listing/car-spare-parts/used-parts-scrapyard
  14. Oh this seems like a very old video from 2013, but I love some of the comments made, seems from true offroaders or genuine LR users
  15. Of course anything for brand marketing LR's. No doubt Range Rover is very good offroader but showing that they are the only one leaves me to replicate same in lesser time. Doing 95% track on flat or on dunes, AWD Rav4 can do that and doing few sideys to splash sand even LS430 can do that.
  16. Thanks, @Ren13 for lending the hitch. Barry if you still not done with trailer move, let me know we can do it anytime
  17. It's OK if you have an issue with limited numbers then you can go with Gold plated Rolls Royce for instant prestige and no proving your point of limited edition with all the bling of Gold.
  18. Just see if Rahimdad can help you with his Pajero. Also check if trailer should have brake light from legal stand point of RTA or Dubai Police before starting. If you can't get through, source me a hitch from scrap and I'll pay for that and help you for free.
  19. Probably Yes, you are right with your guess. Maybe NOS or High octane special race fuel must have caused that explosion
  20. Thanks buddy, please post the link and I think you are right. As always normal scanner was unable to read my Pajero, but Barry has managed to hook up his system and scan her just fine, seems like some different adapter it has or some other standard / protocol it uses. Can you also please explain what is MUT stuff?
  21. I had a GS430 long time ago and that was the second most comfortable car I have ever owned. Lexus engineering is very good and flawless, unlike many other luxury marquees, just go with GCC specs and you will enjoy it thoroughly. Maybe our biggest Lexus LS advocate @shadow79 will add more points here.
