No, No, No, Pajero doesn't go wonky without the cat, neither throw check engine light nor affect the fuel consumption and instead BUMP the car performance and roaring noise than a weak V6 noise. I am running straight 3" pipe since 5 years and love the highway drone and also little doof doof noise. I strongly suspect what shadow79 said, as in my 1999 Pajero passenger side footwell has a hole opening into the firewall that brings engine roaring and road noise inside the cabin. Stick a small soundproof or heatproof sheet there and job done - noise reduced by 50% at least. @Frederic Nuyttens can confirm if the same solution worked for him or not, as I haven't heard his feedback yet. You need to check the missing duct or hole opening from inside the cabin and not from the engine bay. You will surely find one on the front Passenger side, but what is warming the driver side is a mystery. Maybe I should drive my Pajero without shoes and without AC to really feel how warm that footwell gets. Just a thought, check if your AC cooling knob is turned to red (heat side) as it will be circulating the heater water irrespective of a blower is on or not.

Well, to be honest, Emanuel asked us few times to take newbies for short spin but we were hoping to fix that strangers pop-out in 10 minutes. Things got real ugly when we realized that they have already moved the car quite a lot on a popped out tire to remove the seam from both sides and rubber lost its shape. We finally left them with our tools to let them figure out on how to pick the spare wheel lock as fixing the popped tire was FUBAR. For the testosterone, we have seen and detest those who can piss further contest so many times that we like to enjoy the Friday without any 6 days politics or usual rivalries or peer pressure on who can spend most on cars and mods / gears/gadgets etc. @Julien V and @Frederic Nuyttens please post your pictures in gallery section always, as after every drive we create an album for that drive and images in the gallery are stored on a permanent basis. https://carnity.com/gallery/category/94-absolute-newbie-offroad-drive-pink-rock-02-nov-2018

In that case my personal vote: 400 hp any day as it will be definitely more fun in driving, cornering and quick acceleration while overtaking from 80-120 km even at highway speed. Also saving 10k dhs will fill the gap of fuel mileage (if any) for the next 5 years, lol. Another valid point for 400 is - it has already lost its first-year depreciation than the 300 one which will hurt you less in the long run.

Totally agree with Barry, on ask yourself if you wish to have 400 hp than 300, trust me more hp is super fun at a lot of times. However, knowing your 200 km daily I will advise you to research on "real" fuel mileage of both cars and go with whichever is cheaper if that is a concern for your overall financial equation. If you don't care the fuel consumption or paid by the company - hell yes to 400 hp ANYDAY. And yes 10K driven is nothing if its still under warranty with the Arabian Automobiles.
