  1. Ford Mustang Shelby or Roush Edition - Stage 3. Go to 1:42 Minute for exhaust note.
  2. Love to see the morphing of those two images. I love the styling irrespective of the taxi joke, which to some extent I agree. It's interior is equally stylish, seen it in a video few weeks back.
  3. Nice thread, my first car was 1992 Nissan Sunny in black exactly same like below, nothing much to show off but I use to be like a Michael Schumarker on every red light. Torn engine foundations, blown head gasket and rebuild engine in 1 year and realize either I need a faster ride or learn to control my heavy foot. Finally learned to slow down after seeing so many bills. Bought it for 6,500 AED in 2002 and sold for 4,500 in 2003 after spending 5,000 in maintenance issues.
  4. I so agree with teajay, American V8 is different world all-together. Btw, Dodge is an American Mitsubishi: Cheaper to buy but lil expensive to maintain than Chevy and Ford. Husain1 is right, I heard some horror stories as well that Dodge AC costed 18k to replace/rebuild (can't remember correctly).
  5. I beg to differ guys here because I do drive V8 Mustang and still don't participate in Motorsport. All my life I have been 4x4 guy and changed plenty of suv and 4x4 that I was bored to death after 15 years. To change my league I turn to sports car and tried Mustang as I always use to love it's design since my school days. After owning one, for little over a year now I do enjoy it everyday and the best part of it is the zippiest acceleration to beat all the odds on the road daily. I don't over-speed, but yes I do accelerate fast that help me connect the herd of slow driver on daily basis. Everyday I witness these herd of slow tailgating drivers - 50-60 cars driving slow as one car in front is not in mood to drive fast in fast lane and rest all are the lazy driver or ignorant driver to follow them at 80 on the road of 120 blindly. As soon as I cross one herd I see more than 500 meter - 1 km of empty road (I'm serious) and connect to another herd. In such scenario car with crazy fast acceleration helps a lot and it helps more than 10-20 times a day to move in and out yet SAFELY. I don't find Mustang comfortable enough, but just due to it's crazy fast acceleration I'm still driving and enjoying daily on Dubai roads. So according to my experience @treks and @Technician I don't like your suggestion and governments or car companies should come up with better rational (no offence). In my eyes, I think sticking to efficiency and emission control is better and more practical than resting on engine size or number of cylinders to be more fair to save the world resources and control pollution. My Mustang reading in last test in March 2016 was Petrol CO: 0.04% Petrol HC: 27 PPM VOL Mileage: 11-12 L/100 (When not pushed) and 14-15 L/100 (when pushed)
  6. Thanks Salman for adding further useful information, that I'll remember while upgrading tires next time.
  7. With my limited exposure to engines unlike you techy boyz, I like Lexus GS430 engine (3UZ-FE) a lot. The only reason to like, it's super duper quietest V8 I have ever seen at all revs and yet deliver tons of power to move and thrill. I had it for almost two years and still regret selling it.
  8. Thanks guys, for all the help and yes indeed I will consider tire change to OEM size or slightly bigger to counter this speed variance. Will only change the cluster, if it fails completely and not for this minor issue. Have a good day guys.
  9. Thanks guys for all advices. It is important to see the right speed to avoid fines and not to block any traffic by driving too lower than road limit. Although it is not critical that I will sweat too much for this. Here is the tire size that I clicked, any idea is it same size or smaller than stock for 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 Liter V6 Engine.
  10. Thanks Derick, for sharing this nice video of AMZ. Just see more in action at below video after 6:05 minute. Real cool electric sprinters, now I know what Technician refer to better than Formula 1.
  11. I just drove my wife's Chevrolet Trail Blazer yesterday for few hours and noted that it has huge notable variance on the speedometer as per with two different mobile sat nav (Iphone and Sony). At 120 km I was getting 110 in GPS, I understand the small variance is acceptable but this 10 km variance seems little big. In my Mustang I get 117-118 in same mobile GPS when I do 120 as per car speedometer. Any idea how I can fix this variance....?
  12. I agree with you, as I sat in 2016 model in Al Tayer showroom few months back and realized new Mustang shrinked few more cms from driver side. Me being close to 6 feet almost struggling in my 2012 GT and wouldn't consider an upgrade coz of this reason only. Explanation from Ford sales adviser: 1960's Mustang was even smaller than today model and it is designed for sports feel than the creature comfort, so cramped up feel is intentional. I simply smiled and walk away.
  13. @captainmickoo roush is bit louder and few of my friends faced an issue while passing in some of Tasjeel outlets, try shamil , so be ready to pull some strings or keep stock exhaust handy.
  14. +1. That's the way Sid, when you are out on a saving mission, thanks for sharing. Nice to see Prado getting 10k oil service and wash+grease in 190 AED. I remember I use to pay for my LC 5K service little over 400 with dealer few years back, which I am sure must have been increased now.
  15. After seeing Ford F150 and Raptor success in the UAE, I think this Bronco will be a good hit here as well. I agree with Brandan that Ford need to tie this to colder month with good media launch showing plenty of videos of Ford Bronco doing lot of steep hill climbs and massive sideys on some of the famous UAE desert spot.
  16. Awesome collection for good laugh, like the Honda power and last one a lot.
  17. This is insane invention man. Imagine car under body can be cleared in an hour time.
  18. You can actually try driving at night, before rad flush and coolant change just to be sure that the engine cooling system is the culprit. As in night currently it's under 30 degrees in Dubai and engine will get more cooled air in night to keep it cool at high speed above 120. If AC still trips off after 120 in night, then there could be something else involve than the engine cooling issue. May be AC fan, compressor or condenser needs some thorough professional check.
  19. For Pajero thermostat, go with GCC specs thermostat as it set to open at around 68-71 degrees and same has been engraved on the thermostat metal outer body. One that says above 78 - 82 is not GCC specs. These few degrees difference will make a big difference in keeping Pajero tad hotter in slow non-moving traffic in extreme summers or at high speed above 120 in day time. Is your Pajero AC cuts off after 120 in night temperature as well....?
  20. I am using flowmaster hush flow since two years and got passing twice from RTA without any wasta or comment on the noise. It's really at quieter side at idle and at normal driving condition at 1-3K rpm and goes extra loud at high revs. Nice engineering done by flowmaster and nice choice made by previous owner, as I got the car pre-installed with this.
  21. Recently received an awesome exclusive video from motoring friend (Shahzad Sheikh) showing the prototype run of Shali N360, featuring "Dubai Roadster" which is Made in UAE. Really excited to see such great development happening in car enthusiasm in UAE, and I am more excited to see this "Dubai Roadster" on roads soon. Good luck to all the development team involved, you really make us proud.
  22. I am sorry I beg to differ on this. I find automatic gears are much better than the manual. I have used all my 4x4 in automatic gear and once tried Nissan Patrol (SWB) in manual gear and partially regret my choice at times, when the comfort of auto is needed to free one hand to handle the constant walkie talkie communication. My Nissan patrol first gear was too short and second was too long, I always used to struggle in steep hill climb and if I don't quickly downshift from third to second just above 3k RPM I will loose the momentum and car looses the power. Another thing is that manually shifted gear involve lot of delay as compare to automatically shifting gear that take few ms. This alone point is a kicker and makes a big difference in all intermediate drives, while negotiating long hill climbs. For the point of stretching any one manual gear for long time, same can be achieved in all modern automatic gears that has high rev range and if throttle is fully pressed they won't downshift until 6-7k band.
  23. Hi Derick, your selection of 2-3 year old bracket is very sensitive to choose: If car comes with warranty then German cars are awesome to drive and own and have that special pride among all cars. If car doesn't come with warranty then better to choose American as you will get reasonable good feel but with very good value for money while maintaining it. I had couple of years old Porsche, Mercedes, Range Rover VS Ford and Chevy.
  24. Thanks Gautam, this sounds doable atleast, unlike the previous owner sounded like impossible mission. Can you please help in making me understand better, do "I HAVE TO" remove the seat and then take it to welder or welder can reach with the seat placed in it's place (trying to reduce hassle). Secondly the power seat mechanism works perfect just a small 4-5 mm moving jerk happen. Do you have any picture of diagram that can help me understand better so that I can translate same to the welder or mechanic...?
  25. I just got 2009 Chevy Trail Blazer for my wife yesterday, and seen that driver seat has very mild jerking while hard braking and hard take-off. It has power seat, and wondering if there is some quick fix to this issue or require some expensive power seat component replacement?
