  1. I sold it after year or two of use to upgrade to 4x4 league.
  2. I had 2003 Lexus GS430 and I still misses it's comfort and super silky V8. It's better to stick to GCC specs, as mine was European specs and in some rare fault Al futtaim rejected to help me. After writing big letters to Lexus Japan, Al futtaim assisted me in finding the fault of wiring short circuit that triggered immobilizer and whole car was dead. I don't blame local dealer as they were also right in not helping as they didn't had required wiring diagram and minor details for EU specs. Since that day I learned my lesson hard way to pay extra premium for GCC cars, as it worth every extra spend during the ownership and you get better resale when you sell it off.
  3. Wherever you go to such small time car accessories shop in Satwa / Deira / Shj, don't forget to bargain as they inflate prices by 50% at least.
  4. Well this disease w/o any cure gave birth to Carnity. Necessity is the mother of invention. Thanks to all Carnity star group members and other active members to make this a great success.
  5. Congrats @hAwX on your new ride. I am always ready for such drives, let's see how well this thread get traction and will post a new drive. Thanks @Rahimdad - our "drive specialist" for supporting all kind of drives.
  6. Thanks all for your inputs and yes I have figured out this little press button now to enable and disable all interior lights to switch on while opening the door. Actually this lil fellow is sick as it work 5-6 times out of 10 times and caused all this confusion.
  7. I am really clueless on how to activate my wife's Trail Blazer interior light while opening the doors. It just doesn't seem to work and we both have toggled so many light switch options. However all light works perfectly one-by-one when we switch on, it's just that we are missing the setting somewhere to switch on all interior light or at least front lights while opening the door.
  8. Thanks @Rahimdad for leading a wonderful newbie drive yesterday. And it was even nice to see Saeed after so long. It was good to connect back to desert after a long break. Enjoyed every bit with all of your great friends company. Hope to see you guys more often as the cooler season starts.
  9. Thanks treks for rubbing on my face here, hate you indeed. lol. I and barry are still under test run to see what we can actually do. We reduced the missing slightly by using fuel additive, engine flush and by putting some kms on this left out soul. Btw, I had a nice desert drive today even with that slight missing and Pajero performed almost great.
  10. @Derick I also agree with Rahimdad, as you should join this drive as it's very basic and newbie drive - perfect for first timers. And I do drive Pajero for offroad since few years, so I am sure you will be fine.
  11. I am in with all sweep support, along with all recovery gears and tools.
  12. Please look for Rahimdad brown Nissan Pathfinder at meeting point.
  13. Due to some unforseen reason, I won't be able to make it for this drive. My sincere apologies to all of you. Rahimdad will be leading the drive. Enjoy and have fun, share pics please.
  14. lol. Well it's a local term evolved from new Nissan Pathfinder which has more plastic than metal. Then this term slowly got commonly used for newer SUV whose metal is thinner than the plastics.
  15. May be it's a way car companies telling us to take newer plastic pigs and break often for repair.
  16. You guys are really forcing me to dig and find my 276C now. I thought I am the old tech guy after so many years, but seems this thing is just not ready to give up yet.
  17. Hi Everyone, hope you guys are excited and packed up already for tomorrow drive. See you guys at meeting point at 3 PM (Sharp), don't be late as we plan to leave by 3:15 MAX. If you need refueling or buy drinks or snacks at ADNOC, please arrive early. For those who are new, please look for below two cars at ADNOC to join the drive: Meeting Point: ADNOC near RAK Airport (https://goo.gl/maps/iMp38NcXHL42)
  18. Hi macoy, please check on below link results in 4 used parts shops sells Ford. Hope it helps. https://carnity.com/search/?&q=ford&type=cms_records5&nodes=86
  19. OMG, you are the second guy today told me that you still stick to 276C. @vanhack youare not alone.....! Rahim bhai, not every one is as seasoned offroader as you are and I still prefer to stick some gps on dash while off-road.
  20. I totally agree with both of you, and to my greatest surprise my brother bought this one and called me to surprise and it took me few seconds to decide whether to congratulate him or sympathize him. Later I came to know that it's a school run car he got for his wife and I was like uuuuhhhhhh-ok. I really doubt it's offroad capabilities just like you guys.
  21. Awesome to have you always Rahim bhai, looking forward to seeing you and your family.
  22. Here is the total track of 6.4 kms going within the most beautiful and scenic mountain in RAK. Plan is to drive till finish point and come back. Two yellow points after finish point on left is for trekking and on right is for challenging drive - in case someone want to venture further. We will find some good shaded spot near end point and rest and have few drinks, take pictures and wait for people who wants to hike up or drive further. Bring your cooler box with drinks, mat, camping chairs / table, hiking boots, camera and smile. P.S. Don't forget the tire pressure gauge and deflator, as we need to deflate to 25 PSI before we enter. Starting Point: 25.703593, 56.065691 Camera Point: 25.710690, 56.076849 Viewpoint: 25.715128, 56.100217 Finish: 25.713800, 56.114400
  23. Good to see you guys joining, you can bring the kid but there is nothing for them to enjoy other than little "up and down x 100" in the car, but for sure it's kid's friendly drive.
  24. Of course, it's still open. Please share you mobile number, so that I can update the list of participants for this drive.
