  1. Except no plate, everything sounds good. No plate means, no thorough check you can do and I wouldn't waste my time tbh, even if price seems OK but @Rahimdad can share better view on pricing.
  2. Is that 3.3 or 3.5? Any off-road mods? Any underbody protection? Bigger tires?
  3. It's so good to see @Asif Hussain back in action that I can't wait to drive under his superb lead - AD Champ. Your experience with LWB Pickup truck seasoned you so much that Im sure Xterra must be like a toy for you now.
  4. Hi @Ahmed Farghaly I have tried Grand Cherokee V8 as a project car for 3 months and totally regretted after spending money on initial critical stuff needed. In Jeep family, wrangler is the best option tbh. Second best is Cherokee (XJ) upto 2001 model - only if you get it clean and non-abused one - super rare. Srikumar got extremely lucky to find one clean XJ that has been road driven but many others I know only bought an abused version and suffered a lot.

  15. Hi @[email protected] welcome to Carnity and its offroad club. Everyone supposed to join an absolute newbie drive for first time please. Please RSVP here, it's in morning.
  16. Yes of course tinting will make a big difference if you go with good quality product than just black plastic film. I hope your recirculation button is always on, than mixing aircon with outside 50 degrees of heat. Also get your AC condenser pressure wash clean, as sometimes when condenser clogs it takes longer to cool. If it still same then get your freon (AC gas) checked or top up before upgrading anything.
  17. Is it 2.4 liter I4 engine or 3.3 litre V6? And if it's like this since beginning what did Juma Al Majid said for ineffective AC? If you need some proper job to upgrade AC system you can consult AC specialist Ampex in ras al khor or DIP. They are bit pricey but will do the right job in first time.
  18. Nissan Armada is another animal, very capable for off-road but also little more than required complicated, computerized and luxurious for weekly off-roading. If you own one already then it's advisable to live with it and see how far you can take it, but buying one specially dedicated to weekly drives seems risky to me. @desertdude any long term reviews on Armada with regular weekly off-roading?
  19. Y61 has no V8 to best of my knowledge, but you might find some Y61 example in market with LS1 - Chevy small block V8 - purposely modified for higher performance and then discarded after 1 year of hard-core abuse. Stay away from those. Safari and Super Safari has few cosmetic differences and external red stripes only. Focus on 4.8 VTEC models and not 4.5 older models, they had bad gearing for off-road use (I suffered with one for 2 years).
  20. Hi @Badar Tariq welcome to Carnity and it's off-road club. Quick answer to your basic question is YES, you can install diff-locker to any/most 4x4 from 2,000 - 5,000 dhs. ARB and TJM diff locker (google it) are pretty famous among many other good off-road brands. Now next thing I like to tell you that over 90% of off-road vehicle doing weekly off-roading here in UAE is driving without diff-lock as it's not a deal breaker or game changer for off-roading. If you have it, then it's fantastic for self recovery (ONLY), but if you don't have it you can still drive off-road perfectly fine without the diff lockers. While buying a dedicated off-road vehicle you must answer these few questions first: Max budget Purpose: Sand, Mountain, Wadi, Beach, Camping or all Size: LWB (5 doors) or SWB (2 doors) Any special preference of brand of origin like Japanese, Jeep, Nissan etc.
  21. Too fancy with super low ground clearance made only for road and not off-road. Land Rover Discovery Sport can "BARELY" survive off-road till newbie level if you are super careful and cautious on every dune crossing. @Pickey Singh has driven his Land Rover discovery, so far the maximum I guess 4 or 5 newbie drives and in the last drive he had slight frontal damage. Now he has bought FJ cruiser recently and will be resuming the off-roading from coming Friday.
