  1. in sajja there are 4 or 5 shops who deal in pajeros and 1 or 2 shops who deal in rims only go ask and see whats good for you
  2. in full insurance side i think the award goes to axa we had a friend who had a ktm in his wearhouse he used to drive it at times it didn't had number plate but was full insured so once the warehouse caught fire and the whole place went toast with the bike in it and they at first gave some rounds and made him run here and there but at the end they reimbursed the market price of the bike and in third party side well whatever is cheaper i m on that side so many times i have gone through various companies as i also get customer cars to process the registration
  3. i have to agree here that theory and real time are very different things...
  4. dear get it scanned if no codes turn up then it would be wise to get the real time data of the sensors and actuators described earlier you will surely stumble upon the fault which can be sorted...nissans are not much from toyotas i am sure the one who fixes the toyotas will be able to fix your nissan too
  5. @desertdude the only time i have seen a fan blade f**k**g the radiator assy and even cracking open the timing cover and on the was screwing god know what was surely only in a Range Rover but till date mind you i work in automotive industry and my views are based on a very wide network of shops where we get to meet and share stories have yet to see that in a japanese car the scenario you described
  6. it seems sure is @desertdude but the idea behind it is very beautiful its very economical (less fuel consuming design) and it also will give you no feel when its cycling on and off as opposed to many conventional compressors tripping on and off you can surely make out...but the ugly thing is they are as of yet not reliable... when we get a car like this we just give the options to the owner to go the original way and face the same shit again in near future or else just drop the whole system and revert to the conventional compressors which are hands down very stubborn things and last
  7. the new corollas don't have the magnetic clutch in them now lately they have begun to implement a direct drive compressor with a solenoid in the rear which controls the flow of refrigerant to the compressor and those are nasty compressors....i have worked on them and you should change the whole system and yet sometimes it fails as those compressors have a refrigerant controlled slider bearing which does not slide at times and thus you get hot or normal air instead of cold
  8. as @Gaurav bhai always mentions that safety is paramount which is ofcourse a very good thing but under no circumstances or any moment in the drive did @Rahimdad bhai felt that the car is unsafe for him or us as a convoy was a danger above all we all came there to have some together time and share a passion we all love together so such a small thing which didn't even break the entire drive should have forced us to cut short our drive it is not justifiable as long as we have plan b with us there should not be any changes the convoy must run to its fullest
  9. the cars you have mention @desertdude should run fine if you are not using anything which is auxiliary like light or radio or a/c only bare minimum usage should last you quite long those cars are not described as juice thirsty...maybe it was running on battery power way before you noticed the alternator not making juice.... sometimes the battery light is not there but still its not producing the right amperes to support the electrical infrastructure it was designed to hold
  10. the battery light only comes on when the armature is not producing magnet (not making juice) there are also various other reasons where the battery won't be charging like the stator being grounded and or the regulator burned in open circuit or the diode plate being bad... well at the time it was day light so that delco powered car should have run fine and if god forbid it was the other way around it had failed i knew of 3 other batteries which could have been swapped and the car would have kept running while the battery would have been charged in other cars... and trust me we have managed with many interesting things thrown at us because as a team have eachothers backs to support on the goods were in our terms and the car finished the drive and came in next day to change the belts at the workshop...
  11. With all loads it should last atleast 3.5hrs also depends on how juice thirsty your car is.. I have people come in with interior lights flickering during night driving and yet they didn't know that their alternator is toast and they have been using the car for few days with the battery light on
  12. It was my call to not deter the plan a dead alternator can survive from 6 to 3 and half hrs depending on the age of battery and the electrical load which is running and even if all odds were against us and that thread like belt also ripped then I always have few tricks up my sleeve to not spoil the fun we have 😂
  13. thats where such things come in handy its clean and quite fit i am in process of tossing some things in some parts i have and some are still in figuring of how to commence
  14. lately everything is readymade but have to figure out what goes where in order to work correctly
  15. i still have a 1gb seagate hdd laying around from win95 time its still good and runs
  16. seagate is good if original it better then wd
  17. wonder when they are going to do it here
  18. that's where the exhaust temperature gauge comes in handy to really tell you exactly where things are going when you are throttle happy....the cooling system is fine even i hope the oil quality is good as he has been here for few oil changes and i dont see him trying to put camel oil to save a few bucks...its that the exhaust gas temperature gives you an instantaneous picture of exactly what is going on inside your engine. As loads build, exhaust gas temperatures rise. If they’re rising too high it’s a pretty safe bet your engine is running hotter than a pressure cooked fryer … and will no doubt culminate in a fried head this also serves as to see a side of your engine that is honestly far more important than what your coolant is doing. It can tell you if your fuel mix is too rich or lean, your exhaust is too restrictive, and if you need to ease off the right foot as you’re climbing a hill.
  19. rising temperature does make the freon head pressure to rise and send it right through the safety valve usually located on the compressor... that part of cut and join does work in some cars as the length is long but in some cars with the vibration and engine thrusts it will come back out when least expected....
  20. Let me share something the so called scale gauges that already linger in many cars are also not so accurate they just give a vague idea of whats going on sometimes very late to notify about the inevitable....
  21. there are some information which if known by the driver in the correct time can avoid catastrophic damages specially if the car is being used in extreme driving conditions and as many of us have cars and they already have somewhat things covered but not everything is covered in all the cars like the echo and yaris and tiida versa and lately many new cars are just having only 2 lights which show if the car is cold or hot and now people will argue that they are not used for extreme but i have had customers come in with blown gaskets at the workshop only because they hadn't noticed the light or took note when it was already late the extreme use is already a loud music and sync of fire 'explosions and never tiring run of gears and all of it is balanced on a knife edge of power and catastrophe and if we have a few things in handy sight we can know the music we hearing is of it doing the work right or the last that we will hear from it before it dies the heavy intended use of automotive's like race and off road applications where must have these things in plain sight are the coolant temperature ,engine oil pressure , boost (if super charged or turbocharged) 'exhaust gas temperature' transmission temperature and if known and understood can avert many things if raised or lower then normal levels... will shed some more light and love if anyone's in doubt or needs help in understanding those gauges which are there to help us use the machinery the way its meant to be....
  22. saw the video it states that the 5k hp is at crank so where does the story reach at wheels..?
  23. there are 16 cylinders and 32 cylinders with much power packed punches but are in trains i think...
