  1. As till now there are only 2 fewbie cars that have registered for the drive, this drive has been called off. @Tbone , @Wrangeld and @Jeepie if you wish you can join the Newbie drive.
  2. Has anyone tried to remove the scratch marks on the alloy wheels. Some of them are just not on the surface and run a bit deep. Where can I get it fixed and what would be the cost involved? Also, has anyone tried to do it by themselves?
  3. @Lucky sAm as this is a Fewbie level drive, I suggest you sign up for the Newbie level drive posted by Gaurav at the same time in Al Qudra

  5. Then check the condition of the tyres. Might have developed some uneven surface
  6. Does the sound increase with the speed or does it disappear? If it increases it could be a case of failing bearings or noise from tyre. Swap the tyres with the front and see if the sound from the rear reduces.

  9. you can get it in dragon mart (dune buggy shops) along with a suction cup to fix it to your rear window.
  10. can you send us a picture of both the front and rear showing this tow points. It will clear things immediately.
  11. Are you the first owner? Then it should have the tow or recovery points. Check the owner manual or send a picture so that we can guide.
  12. @Barry you surely need to travel to India. There drivers honk for every possible reason and even if the road is clear they still honk to just ensure that no one comes in the way.
  13. @Tbone I have noticed you have signed up on both the Newbie and Fewbie drives. Which one are you attending? Accordingly please sign off from the other drive.
  14. Due to the shortage of time last week, there was some unfinished business on the dunes south of the Solar Panels. So lets attempt to reach there this time starting from Al Faqa. The area provides long range dunes that offer a perfect playground to ramp up the pace a bit and stretch the legs of both car and driver. We will explore the area, and alternate between side sloping, ridge crossing, and enjoy whatever this area has to offer. This drive is for Fewbie and above level only. When: 24 January 2020, Friday Meeting time: 06:45 AM, the convoy will move sharply at 07:00 AM Where: Al Faqa GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/dt57TRJ3ak4SrCkX8 Level of drive: Fewbie and above Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. Plan: Drive and enjoy until about 12 PM, with some small breaks in between to have breakfast and snacks. What to bring along: Some snacks, plenty of water - whatever you like with little extra to share, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: 12 PM Please RSVP the below calendar event

  16. @Wrangeld I have lately started looking forward to reading your trip reports. There are no words in my vocabulary to describe your writing skills other than to say it's pure poetry and makes us relive each moment of what was a wonderful day.
  17. Hi, yes that belongs to me. Will WhatsApp you to collect it
  18. 265/60/R18 and 265/65/R17 will be almost identical. If you are increasing the width from 265 to 275 keeping the aspect ratio at 65, then you are increasing both width as well as height. You might have rubbing issues.
  19. I think that's the tire size of @Roshan Abraham. Roshan can you share your experience?
