  1. Hello everyone.

I wanted to know how to figure out if the suspension is going bad and weak ?

What are its tell tale signs and at what intervals it might need to be replaced ?

How crucial this component is and what happens if it fails suddenly on or off road ?

what are the options of replacing it apart from agency ?

How to avoid suspensions going bad any specific driving advice ?

How to diagnose its current condition ?

looking forward for best answers especially from @Gaurav @Rahimdad @Emmanuel @Srikumar

    hi,

I have a 2012 LWB pajero 3.5, Completely stock, no skid plates, not lifted or even offroad tyres. Do u think I can manage . Its my first time .

I also had the same thoughts a year back when I started my desert driving. A year later now I still have everything stock except the tire which I changed in march as original wore out. I could have been a on an intermediate level by now but unfortunately i couldn't join all the drives due to odd working hours. But still I am a Fewbie thanks to @Rahimdad @Gaurav bhais and a companion like @Srikumar

Listen respect and obey what the marshals say and you will surely enjoy your ride. See you tomorrow.

@Boney Johnohn if you have not yet been able to remove the rear aluminium bumper lip, don't worry. Join the drive, and I will give you a hand in the morning. Should take about 10 mins

I will help him out no worries

  3. @Gaurav very well said. I would like to add to it. by thinking that the desert is a huge airport and all the senior members and marshals are the air traffic controller they can see you from where we can't see them with their eagle eyes and the radio commands are to make sure the aircrafts its pilots and passengers safety (cars drivers and passengers). We should assume the duty of a pilot by strictly adhering to the commands of our air traffic controller (senior members) to avoid accidents and hazards and similar to pilot you gain driving hours and experience instead of flying hours 🤩

Long time no see @jibransayed. Donated 100 points. The last I heard 5d was the latest and brightest with a rumour of 6d already being out. If you can get 6d and the wider the better. Check the measurement of your roof and get accordingly. They have some known electricians there who can fit it too. Make sure to fit it on a bracket with at least an inch from the body and make sure they do not reflect off the bonnet or you'll be blinded.

Yes was busy with house shifting and setting it up and then came Ramadhan, thanks for donation and advice for led bar light

  5. As we are doing night rides during summers can someone suggest me a good place where i can buy bar lights for my pajero and its fitting as i dont want to screw it on the roof but instead on a roof rail. I saw few shops in dragon mart and the price range was feom 400 upto 1200 AED but didn't knew which one to get. Toby brand mostly.

hope to see you guys next friday

Totally agreed with you, same here, but I have to do something for car traction control, anytime I need power the engine stop down,

Thanks alot brothers @Rahimdad @Gaurav  @skumar83  @Asif Hussain  for help and guidance

i checked with Mitsubishi they said we have to switch off ASTC by pressing the button near knees and engage 4HLc which will lock the central differential to split torque equally. It has to be engaged only when we encounter cross tracks or bumpy ride where the car computer confuses and thinks car is slipping heavily and starts to brake the wheels, and acts upon the engine accelerations as well.

let's try this the next time

removing the ABS fuse will disengage it completely but it is highly highly highly not recommended. This is the kill switch you were asking for.

Pajero is quite a capable Offroader. You only need to take care of the rear bumper aluminium lip which would most definitely come out. It's best to remove it so that it doesn't get damaged. There are only 4 bolts holding it in place. 10 min job. If you are unable to do it, we can help out at the meeting point.

Sure , will do it under your supervision as never had to do that before
