  1. The best work usually takes place after the sun goes down.
  2. You can buy the fobs on eBay. I think I have the software to program them but I haven’t tried it so I don’t know.
  3. Clicking sound could be cv joint or diff. I would look at the cv joint first. Is the sound coming from the front or back? Center or side? If you drive in a circle with the steering on full lock can you hear a click?
  4. Technically no because I don't have a car yet but as soon as I get finished with my ex employer for screwing me, I will. Started out as a hobby, ended up making a living from it. Now doing other things and seriously considering never going back to it as a full time job.
  5. What’s your thoughts on this then? http://www.carscoops.com/2017/11/aston-martin-furia-burns-hotter-than.html?m=1 I think it looks like a Scirocco with an AM grille. Nothing groundbreaking in design terms.
  6. I guess you’re talking about the inner cv joint which goes into the diff? Smell the oil on it. Gear oil is stinky and you can’t mistake it for anything else. Maybe the oil seal has gone and all the oil has come out of the diff and screwed it. So worth checking how much oil is in it too. If there’s yellowish fluid on the inside of the wheel rim, the first thing to do is make sure it’s not brake fluid. Then look at the rubber boot on the cv joint and see if there are clips on both ends and that the rubber isn’t split. If the grease has come out of the joint, you can try repacking it again and sealing it up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It depends on how much driving you’ve done with no grease in it. Probably best if you just take it to a proper mechanic who should be able to diagnose it in 15-20 minutes.
  7. I'm not an expert on these but I did look into them a while ago. I always wanted a challenger and if the wife pushed out a baby, charger was the second option because of the extra doors. The main difference between the RT and the SRT is 100 BHP and 75 ft lb of torque. RT has 375 ish BHP. You need to ask yourself, is that enough? Personally for me, it's plenty. There are limited opportunities to use it in UAE unless you're doing track days. Speed cameras every few hundred meters kind of defeat the purpose of fast cars. There are no major reliability issues but build quality isn't the best. Lots of hard plastics and things screwed together by minimum wage workers in America who just want to finish their day and go for a beer. I can't answer your questions about price. The market here is totally fake, prices are dictated by whatever the dealers feel like putting on their fake ads on dubzzle. Another thing I'd like to add, just personal opinion though, I wouldn't get sucked into the whole GCC specs thing. Sure they were built and designed in USA but Texas in USA is just as hot as UAE so obviously they were designed to work in a similar climate. I know a lot of people will argue with me on this point and say GCC has bigger radiators and compressors etc but then done American cars designed to work near the equator have lesser parts? Surely the Americans will look after there own people rather than a handful of arabs? Be aware though, because of the mentality of people here, the resale of US spec cars is less than GCC cars. Also if you're buying a US car, check it on carfax website. You will get full proper history, unlike here.
  8. Ok, it’s not the best model rc car in the world but it’s the first with variable window tints.
  9. I was speaking to a good friend of mine back home in Ireland. She runs her own successful forum and is a writer for drivetribe. If you don’t know what drivetribe is, it’s the forum run by the former top gear presenters. I asked her to sign up and say hello. The first thing she asked me is heck, is this forum all men? So all the ladies of Carnity, please shout out!
  10. Take a drive around saaja scrap market. There’s a few people breaking Peugeot there https://goo.gl/maps/1BHTMxpJB9P2
  11. The Tesla Model S has completed 1000km on a single charge, albeit using hypermiling techniques so change is coming.
  12. What’s wrong with your own light? I know they’re susceptible to corrosion. Sometimes a tin of meclec, a toothbrush and a bit of fine sandpaper can work wonders.
  13. I think the fender bender thing is relevant here in Dubai, more so than anywhere else. Other countries have proper crashes but here it’s mostly slow speed bumper to bumper stuff. You only have to take a walk up your street and you’ll see something with a broken headlight or the bumper hanging off. Not saying the big accidents don’t happen, but they’re less frequent.
  14. An electric motor is always going to have more torque than an internal combustion engine and torque is what gets you off the line.
  15. Interesting video from VW here showing how much better their body panels are than pattern parts. Although part of me wonders if they used Chinese parts rather than quality aftermarket.
  16. Anyone with a laser alignment machine should be able to do it. You just need to make sure it’s a 3D machine which is capable of setting toe, camber and castor. Castor isn’t adjustable on the Pajero but the machine should be capable of reading it so you know if something has been bent.
  17. What is set to be the worlds fastest ‘car’ has completed its first test runs.
  18. Swap the front and rear wheels (assuming they’re not staggered) and see if the vibration moves to the front. If it does, it’s a wheel, tyre or balancing issue. If not, you need to dig deeper.
  19. Mitsubishi recommend 10k or 1 year, whichever comes first. I'm surprised the dealer can get away with cutting the interval in half without Mitsubishi stepping in.
  20. I’ve seen a couple of these around. They’re usually parked on SZR or JBR rather than doing what they were built for. Central tyre inflation system is my favorite feature.
  21. I'm using iPad Air. With the speeds I'm getting, it should download instantly.
  22. It's really not working for me. I currently have 20.23 download, 5.72 upload and 3ms ping so shouldn't have any issues. @Carnity
