Looks like they’re lifting it to change the wheel? I’ve done it plenty of times myself when worked in the scrapyard and had access to a forklift. I would never go underneath a forklift though, not even put my hands under it. I had a car up around head height on the forklift once to remove a subframe and one of the chains snapped on the forklift. Got lucky, only one broke and I got the heck out of there, the other one held the car up. A week later a friend in a neighbouring scrapyard was doing the same thing and the car fell on him. Broken legs, broken hips, broken ribs, lucky he wasn’t killed. That put an end to everyone in the area working under cars on forklifts.

Nissan CVTs are a different breed. The oil cooling in them is inadequate and they usually start to give problems around 60k. Sure, there are people who have bigger mileages on them but as someone who works on cars, I wouldn’t touch one. Nissan seem to have no intention of rectifying the problems either. They have so much money invested into the R&D of their CVTs that they can’t back out now.

I watched the platform last night. Definitely a weird one. Still haven’t decided if I enjoyed it or not.

No danger of me getting any time off. As long as there are vehicles on the road I will have to work. Wife is currently working from home and I’m out working every day so it kind of makes her working at home pointless. I get the feeling there is no planning or method to any of this, it’s just futile gestures to appease the panicked masses.

One punch man. Hilarious anime about a reluctant superhero I’m thinking about cancelling my subscription soon. There’s just too much stuff missing off it. UAE is way behind on their lists. Most of the time I’ll watch a few series then have to stream the rest somewhere else to finish it.

I’m sure some of you will have seen the diesel brothers show on discovery. I’ve watched a few episodes and it was all pretty cringe. The roadsters are pretty cool. You don’t see many of them around. I got arrested in a Ford Ka once. I won’t tell you what I was doing because it’s a family friendly forum but you can use your imagination. Lovely girl called rose. She was on the larger side so my friends used to call her whole lotta rosie like the AC/DC song.

Ka is rare in UAE but it’s not exactly a unicorn. Thousands of them in Ireland and UK. Fun car to drive. Like a little go kart.
