Nissan CVTs are a different breed. The oil cooling in them is inadequate and they usually start to give problems around 60k. Sure, there are people who have bigger mileages on them but as someone who works on cars, I wouldn’t touch one. Nissan seem to have no intention of rectifying the problems either. They have so much money invested into the R&D of their CVTs that they can’t back out now.

I watched the platform last night. Definitely a weird one. Still haven’t decided if I enjoyed it or not.

No danger of me getting any time off. As long as there are vehicles on the road I will have to work. Wife is currently working from home and I’m out working every day so it kind of makes her working at home pointless. I’m sure some of you will have seen the diesel brothers show on discovery. I’ve watched a few episodes and it was all pretty cringe. They seem to lack imagination and build the same thing over and over again too, big Cummins or powerstroke rollin coal, military axles and tyres, usually throw on a cab extension, paint the whole thing with bed liner. The roadsters are pretty cool. You don’t see many of them around. I got arrested in a Ford Ka once. I won’t tell you what I was doing because it’s a family friendly forum but you can use your imagination. Lovely girl called rose. Ka is rare in UAE but it’s not exactly a unicorn. Thousands of them in Ireland and UK. Fun car to drive. Like a little go kart.

Same body shell as the Sierra XR4i but it was released under the Merkur brand in USA. Ford didn’t want to sell it under the Sierra brand as GMC already had the Sierra pickup. 4 way is a bit complicated if you have no experience of setting up suspension, it’s a pretty steep learning curve. First you need to understand what it means and what the settings do. You have, Low speed damping. This controls how the suspension compresses in normal use and is used to stop you from bottoming out after a single jump Low speed rebound. This controls how fast the suspension will extend after being compressed in normal use High speed rebound. This controls how fast the suspension will extend after being compressed multiple times, ie if you’re driving over rough ground and bouncing up and down High speed damping control. This controls how fast the suspension compresses after hard impacts, ie bouncing over rocks Like I said, I know nothing about for setting up for off road but for on road, the most simple way to put it is for understeer, make the back harder and the front softer and for oversteer make the back softer and the front harder. It’s just going to be a matter of playing with things until you find something that suits your car and your driving style but if you have half an idea of what the settings do you have a fighting chance.
