Do you have separate damping and rebound control or just one screw controlling both?
I have no clue nor have I got any interest about setting up for off road but I could tell you how to set them up for road/track use, controlling over/understeer etc

Beer and Netflix is a good combination for Rick and Morty, going to start from the first season for the 3rd time.

I’m on an anime adventure at the minute. They released all the studio ghibli movies a couple of weeks ago so that’s been keeping me occupied. I really wish they would put bobs burgers on. Been getting really into it but it’s a pain in the ass trying to watch streams when the network throttles the connection half way through.

I was supposed to do a visa run next week then the news dropped on Saturday that they’re not issuing new visas from the 17th so it was a big panic to get a last minute flight yesterday. Airport was crazy on the way out. Super busy and like something from a zombie apocalypse movie with half the people wearing masks and rubber gloves. Coming back into Dubai was a different story. It was like a ghost town. Hardly anyone there and only 2 immigration counters open. I’ve got an aunt stuck in Spain at the minute too. Missed her flight home and now can’t get through to the airline.
I really hope they’re not going to start doing this with every seasonal virus every year or life could become unmanageable for a lot of people very quickly.
Anyway, I’m ready for total lockdown. Plenty of beer and baked beans in the cupboard and Netflix subscription paid up to date. Bring it on. I could use a break from society.

£30k gbp. Might not be your cup of tea but pretty reasonable given the spec and even more reasonable given it’s a homologation car. I would imagine Toyota are a long way off breaking even on this one.

Covid cant withstand more than 27 degrees provided the droplets fall on ground.
If the droplets find another host(person) before that then he is bound to be infected :-(. That's the reason to avoid mass gatherings ,crowded places and maintaining 6 feet distance from anyone coughing
The logic behind this one is flawed. 27 degrees supposedly kills the virus, but the temperature of the human body is 37. By this theory, the virus can’t survive in the human body. The virus will eventually die outside the body because it needs a host, not because of the temperature. I’m not an expert on it, just applying year 12 biology and common sense.
According to this, you need a temperature of 60 degrees to kill the virus,

Fear is a paralysing emotion that is a waste because as he rightly says, you can only do it once. That's not to say do stupid things - but the fact is that this is still a virus that it most dangerous if you are over 70 and have a pre-existing problem. Notwithstanding my recent birthday, I am not yet there.
Wash your hands a lot, with hot water and soap. Try to keep give a little more personal space to people than maybe you used to.
The world in lockdown is a great political tool to arrest any dissent and complaints - when was the last time you heard about the protests in Hong Kong?
There are people dying out there. I do not want to diminsh that for one moment, but there are also people out there dying from road accidents and malaria in higher numbers.
International travel appears to be at a standstill. Let's not end up only going to and from work.
I have always kept my political opinions off Carnity, mostly out of respect and acceptance of and for other members who may be from a different culture than me, and partly because this is UAE and I don’t want to go to jail, but you have hit the nail on the head with one of your points. It’s all about distraction from everything else that is going on. Control through fear. The same things happens year after year and the sheep fall for it year after year. It’s even worse now as more people are online more of the time, swallowing and spreading whatever they read on Facebook without even looking for or checking sources.
I am flying on Sunday. Am I worried? No. But wifey is starting to get panicky and telling me I need to wear a mask. Modern planes all have HEPA filtration systems. The only way you’re going to get sick is if you sit beside someone who is already sick and they cough or sneeze on you. I seem to get the flu every year and realistically, corona virus is just like the flu with a slightly higher mortality rate, the only difference is they haven’t got a vaccine for it yet. I’m reasonably young, I’m reasonably healthy, I’ll be fine. If I get sick I’ll get over it.
There is so much misinformation and BS being spread around at the minute. I heard the best one yet yesterday. Bill Gates started corona virus. Complete with Facebook posts to back up his conspiracy. I was pretty busy at work but I took an hour out of my day to search for information with links and sources to send to him so I could convince him. Bill Gates is an amazing philanthropist, screwing the world over with a virus just isn’t something he would do. If I changed that one guys mind, at least I feel like I did something good.

Well TBH in countries like that you really don't need to wash cars unless you take it off-road or muddy areas.
The regular rains keep them pretty much clean on the outside.
Washing is pretty important if you don’t want your car to disintegrate. Dirt and crap collects in all the little nooks and crevices which holds water which causes rust. Not to mention the salt they put on the roads in the winter which will leave your car looking like a scabby donkey.

What’s your biggest automotive regret?
I’ve done a lot of stupid stuff over the years but my biggest regret was rolling my corolla on the side of a mountain. That car was super reliable and never let me down once. I ended up having to walk 7 miles to and from a 12 hour night shift in the snow for weeks until I replaced it. Probably would have kept that car for a long long time.

My childhood memories are just of the Rothmans 🤓
Hiding in the trees smoking, hoping your grandmother doesn’t see you or you will get beat with a stick. It was even worse when she caught you and sent you out to choose the stick yourself. Good times 😂
@Rahimdad I saw the Rothmans 911 in Stuttgart a few years ago. I have photos of it somewhere. Will try to look for them over the weekend.

If you need speed why not install a normal air compressor with a small tank, like one of the little 10 litre ones and run it off an inverter? You can keep the tank full all the time and top it up as needed by flicking a switch.

For the majority of people here, a car is just a way to get to work and they don’t care how it works as long as it works. For them, a service simply means an oil change at the petrol station so you’re going to come across a lot of cars that have had major things like timing belts and brake fluid changes neglected. I recommend buying on condition and getting a proper pre purchase inspection done. If you need help with that, I can help you arrange it.

The 3.8 has almost 50 BHP more than the 3.5. There are stroker kits available to take it up to 4.1 if you want to make real horsepower.
