I can't believe that I've been studying everything I need to know about Covid19 through documentaries and movies but I still dont know how the name came around. Yesterday my mother asked me the question do you know how the term Covid19 came around and what it stands for? I had not got a clue and could not answer her simple question. I know almost everything I need to know about the virus including how to protect myself and others, but don't know how the term Covid19 came around or what it stands for. So who can tell me what the abbreviation Covid19 stands for?

gamingconsole Best gaming console - suggestions?
Rahimdad replied to dune jockey's topic in Off-topic
I have the PS4 but haven't touched it in ages. Mostly play some crazy games on my mobile phone. But with the mobile phones and gaming companies development there are many mobile games which can keep you engrossed and occupied. They claim the best console should be put by October this year, the PS5. I started with Ps1 with Cricket, Grand Turismo and Tekken. Later the PS2 with the newer games in the same category but better graphics. It was PS3 than along with the PSP handheld console, but the same game categories. One game that kept growing on me were the Need for speed series and I had to have the latest one with every console. The PS4 was gifted to my daughter by my brother and Need for speed and the latest cricket games stayed on with the likes of FIFA games, but intead of Tekken similar games like the Injustice league took its place. I can't even remember when was the last time I touched my PlayStation. However FIFA is a great time pass when you compete among each other in the family. Just 2 people should not fight over who gets Brazil as their team. I am a rate Nederlands fan and no one wants my team, so I'm good.- 15 replies

I recently watched a Turkish movie on Netflix by the name of "Miracle in cell number 7". Very emotional and touchy movie. Had a good cry after a long time. I like 9nine which is very funny, bit can't watch more than 4 episodes in a day. One I can sit through and through is Stranger things. The first season the first 3 or 4 episodes are boring, but once you know everyone you start enjoying.

But be careful as they would void your warranty as soon as you install anything from outside.

Thank you @Barry. May Allah SWT keep you and your loved one in His protection. You are my super hero bhai. I just wear the T-shirt.

Maybe this will get Mitsubishi to think about combining latest proven technology with a capable off-roader like the Pajero of the 90s. Or with the good old feel sports cars like the Eclipse Turbo or the GTO Twin Turbo.

I want to get myself a sand shower.

@andy_macdxb I don't have much experience with many off-road vehicles but I don't think it is anything to do with the engine tuning. With the modern machines the main thing to kill the fun are all the computers doing the thinking for us. In my briefing for the newbies I always say it is not only about the man learning the machine but also the machine learning what the man needs. With all the computers the vehicles are always learning the drive pastern of the individual and setting up the vehicle performance to help fuel economy. Only after a few attempts showing the car that you don't always need fuel economy but the power to climb through a soft patch it eventually learns and that is when the man and his machine are in true harmony. The Pajero is blessed with less computers and thus lesser time to teach it tricks. However the PCM for the Pajeros does have a shifting issue until 2013 year models so that posses some problems but all sorted out post 2014 models. It is a safety thing done by Mitsubishi so that you don't burn out your gearbox before time, but off-roading needs that at times. The air is one of the main reasons your engine continues to provide you with the power you need throughout all altitudes and the Pajero is blessed with the biggest air intake in the industry. All of this makes the Pajero a class leader in the sands, only a few adjustments needed to protect it from taking bodily harm.

I saw this 2 years back. But the cost at the time of the printer was so high I could by 10 HP printers with ink cartridges. I do not have massive printing requirements from home so I stuck with the HP printer where I had to replace the cartridge only once. I thing although the cost seems to be half of what it was 2 years back its still expensive and with all their claims the break even can only be calculated after 3 to 5 years depending on your usage. As technology improves and becomes more affordable I would wait for the next break through or a much cheaper price tag.

I respect your point of view @desertdude and choose to be left behind. At least I will be with a bunch of people like me who don't mind being left behind. Hope you enjoy catching up with the technology with the rest of the world.

@desertdude we need all kinds of people in this world. Let me be the oldie and you be the one to support the future. Not everybody is going to listen to me nor everybody will follow your path. We will always have our differences and that's what makes this world beatable.

The Toyota Prado TXL only comes with the ECU and PCM only. The Toyota LC Rubs comes only with the ECU and PCM. There must be a few others but I'd need to research a bit. Or I'll get by with a little help from my friends.

I would think the Pajero Sport EV. Guess we will have to get used to such vehicles in the next 20 years. As we still have some good stuff out there without all the electronics which means car companies should provide us with the parts for another 20 years at least.

Share your story: How did you become an off-roader?
Rahimdad replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
For me it all started 11 years back when after my fourth desert safari I saw a bunch of Jeep Wranglers and realized people have clubs and can venture out on their own. I had a Toyota Echo at the time and with a greed of saving around 45 minutes by doing a little desert stretch. I almost made it once, but with a stuck situation I decoded to read, some clubs at the time had awesome posts and was good for 6 months read. But just reading was not going to be sufficient, I needed some hands on experience. My wife had a Mitsubishi Outlander AWD, I had my first mountain drive in that and soon realized how important a proper offroad vehicle was. At this point I sold my Toyota Echo and went for a Jeep Commander 5.7 Hemi. It was just to get some experience and save my 45 minutes on that Sharjah to Dubai stretch. With my holiday cancelled by my office and no family in the house, I used to do up to 4 desert drives a week for 4 weeks. By now unknowingly I had been addicted to offroading. Desert had become my best friend and with the measures put in place by Sharjah police my saving 45 minutes was short lived. It's been since that I have not looked back and been around the desert. Honestly my love of the desert has survived, but not to push my boundaries to discover what I can or cannot do. My passion is to make more like minded friends on the way I can teach and learn from to have a safe passage through our beloved terrain. -
Sorry for the delay, but I have finally put any useful drone footage into a video with the help of my daughter.

Nissan 2012 TIIDA hatch back
Rahimdad replied to Farooq Zeshaan's topic in Nissan Tiida Forum in UAE
If you can't find a Yaris with Cruise control go for a Corolla or Camry for that price. As @Gaurav bhai pointed out the Nissan CVT gearbox is bound to fail and is expensive to fix. -
I'm not bringing my Pathy to your workshop.
