  1. Whoa! What a surprise! Thanks so much @Gaurav Bhai and @Rahimdad Bhai. I hope to live up to the Intermediate standard. Thanks for the compliments @Srikumar Bhai. I enjoy your company and dedication to this adventurous activity!
  2. Haha 😂 The shadows are like someone tall with his hands up while a crab claw is making its way towards it!
  3. I want to thank the managers of the Carnity off-road club for having dedicated most of their Fridays to provide people like me a healthy way to enjoy our weekend. I specially want to thank brothers @Rahimdad and @Gaurav for their company and participation despite being handicapped of their fond vehicles. Hope the two 4x4s get well soon! Having one of the two gurus , @Rahimdad, in my car was very exciting as I had access to a great source of desert driving knowledge. Although, I feel guilty of not offering him my vehicle to drive but it was basically to take advantage of every minute of his experience and guidance during this rare opportunity. Overall Carnity has always been a very encouraging group of off-roaders who have helped me get over some of the initial fear of this unknown terrain. Today gave the opportunity to all of us to experience a simple method of recovery from a crested situation as well as the parameters required to solve a pop-out. I request the Carnity team to document these two processes step-by-step along with the safety aspects whenever they get time. On hindsight I wish with someone had recorded the two processes 🤔 A big thanks for the rest of sand riders who gave us good company, see ya soon! A special acknowledgment to @Srikumar for choosing an exciting route that had optimum off-road learning experiences for the newbies and fewbies.
  4. Sudden lane changes without indicating and overtaking from the right.
  5. You have a point Javier as this will not be a major reduction as jet fuel and ship engines are also to blame for pollution. However I expect the non-fossil fuel sources like solar, nuclear and hydro power will increase day-by-day so there will still be some sustainable component. If you get a chance watch Bill Gates video on Netflix where he talks about his investment in the design of nuclear plants that use nuclear waste to generate power. Another point that helps the electric car option is that the urban areas that have high concentration of pollution on roads due to exhaust gasses will become cleaner. Yes the industrial pollution portion is high too but any incremental reduction should benefit the population living close to the traffic clogged roads. Anyways, I do agree with your point that there is still too much use of fossil fuel to generate power at present so electric car advantages is currently over hyped.
  6. Thanks Barry. I suppose engine wash is not required and just filter cleaning would do apart from the washing of the parts you mentioned?
  7. I have read some posts on engine wash and car body wash but wanted to confirm if a complete body wash is required very frequently during the weekly off-road season. I already have regular vehicle top-body cleaning but is it necessary to have the under-body washed too and how frequently? Basically, I am trying to reduce costs and water waste but at the same time don’t want to end up with more wear and tear due to delayed cleaning.
  8. Imagine being able to print parts that are no longer produced just from their drawings.
  9. It's nice to hear about the independent review of this accident. In my opinion it was preventable. I don't see how a height detergent can cause so much damage, a lower strength barrier would be enough for the bus to stop. https://gulfnews.com/uae/crime/court-orders-experts-to-examine-scene-of-dubai-bus-crash-1.67520358
  10. 😂 😂😂. Well it all depends how many greens you eat . While we are on the topic, check out the Tesla 3 Fart sound option. The video is the next one under the above link.
  11. Just thought I should let the offroaders know about the sale on AOR products as advertised below. Its valid till 5th. Nov. .

  14. In the Hummer incident,The Cruiser was front-heavy , soft shackle would have been less dangerous but an alternate angle should have been considered in my view. I was conveyed by the grapevine that in this case the shackle hit the steering wheel and then the chin of the Hummer driver but can't confirm this as a fact, he survived. I have witnessed similar failure due to use of an eyelet instead of a properly rated tow hook resulting in the metal shackle ripping the eyelet like it was made of butter, then damaging the AC radiator and grill of the RAM being pulled .The RAM was being pulled by a Wrangler that was also a wrong vehicle due to the weight difference.
