  1. It needs more ground clearance, period. They published a video of desert testing, but I seriously doubt the driver's ability to drive in the desert, in other words, he is a joke.
  2. You have no idea what a nightmare has been not to exceed 3000 rpm 😭
  3. I was thinking it was Superman but then I remember superman travels faster than the speed of light.
  4. haha.. I wish it was that simple, I have to drive it for a while and let the gears cool down, I don't have to exceed 3000 rpm and not exceed 100 km/h 😩
  5. I dont think I will make it, I still have 600 km left out of the 700 km I have to drive during the break-in period of my gears.😩
  6. 95 is good enough for most vehicles including most with forced induction, however some super cars like ferrari recommend to run on 98. You and I would not feel the difference from 95 to 98, however, we will feel the difference from 91 to 98 or from 95 to ethanol. Ethanol will actually give you more horses (not so much though) I tested on a supercharged mustang I used to own 95 vs ethanol (E85) and it gave me around 35-40 extra hp, of course that was only for testing in the dyno.
  7. So the torque tables went out the window, only uga duggas🤣

    New music

Not really new but these are three of my favorite bands.
  9. Yep that's precisely my point, you need to reinforce the rest of the drivetrain because it is obviously not designed for the hp and torque generated by the new engine and transmission. If you have the money for an LS swap, RTA is the least of your concerns this would need to be taken in and out from the sand with a trailer, unless the shop has really good wasta (or however you write it) and can register the car.. we all know there are exceptions for everything, including a simple RTA registration.
  10. So the car is not ready yet but they called me to let me know that when I get it back I need to make sure I do the break in to the new ring & pinion gears. I already knew this but basically you need to do this:
  11. It was very strange, if I was in soft sand the car just would not want to go forward. The engine revved just fine but the car just would feel like the front tires were spinning but not the back tires.
  12. If you are really doing it I would go with LS swap. But is not as simple as just swapping the engine. You need to look into reinforcing the axles and installing stronger shafts otherwise they will break. Not to mention thicker springs to offset the weight of the new engine.
  13. Whether it is capable or not, I would never take a brand new 250k AED car to the desert, I personally think people are insane taking them out there.
  14. It did, I was driving it. But I guess the only way to find out is by testing it after I get it back.
  15. Basically they all said it's normal wear and tear and after certain time off-road the spider gears will break. They also mentioned that it's because of the bigger tires - usually 33" and above, I am driving 33s.
