Yes everyone is doing well, thank god. Mohammed got the cops paper and it will be sorted soon with insurance.
Does anyone spotted big dip or bush at 0.07 sec that bounced the car heavily....? Watch in full screen.
Also intention to steer left than climbing up as desertdude rightly mentioned would have saved it completely.
FJC in stock state is very tipsy, added with 3-4 inch lift is a recipe for disaster. We have mentioned and pointed same last week at Qudra exit and we never knew this could prove fatal so fast. Sad.
However, such incident always remind all of us that every sport has some associate risk and soon we acknowledge, embrace and learn to stay clear from such risk, better it is for everyone.
I have to add that the info and instructions given during the briefing couldn’t be more useful and accurate to avoid mishaps like this one. Rahim and Sri’s words recommending drivers not to fight gravity when the car is fishtailing were stuck in my head after the incident, as I saw what might happen if drivers don’t do so.

1. Make sure you select the correct springs for the weight of your car. Too stiff and you'll be bouncing all about making the car hard to control, too soft and you'll feel all the bumps and it won't ride well on the road and will have a lot of body roll.
2. Everyone always remembers to lift the car but everyone forgets that in order to maintain the OEM center of gravity, you need to widen the wheel base too! A good quality wheel spacer will cost you 800-1000 for 4 Pcs. When we widen our track width, it allows the car to have a lower center of gravity which helps in such situations. A good example is to take one finger and roll it on the table sideways, see how easy it rolls? Now put 2 fingers and do the same, the force required to turn the fingers is much harder!
Physics is your best friend!
"Drop a Gear and Disappear"
The driver bought the car with the mods already done. Which can be an inconvenient such in this case...

I hope that Mohammed and passengers are doing well.
No one got hurt, and that helped us all get over it and still enjoy the day and have some laughs

It was interesting to witness it, and for Rahim to be shot gun. Luckily everyone is all right and no one got hurt. It didn’t stop us from having fun and a nice breakfast.

So how was it ? Have you done the test drive ?
Not yet as the owner is out of the country. I’m test-driving it today though and will definitely keep you guys updated 🤗

Mismatched colour body panels, uneven gaps, wavy panels, new lights on one side old on the other. Rest can be checked by yourself when you see it for the mechanical issues.
And most mechanics I've seen who "check" cars just get it over with. Would never trust them.
Be my guest then! (Yes, It’s a challenge 😂). I’d love to see what you can find and how decent it will turn out to be, especially that for me it’ll be a win win 😁

Check out this car on Carswitch - https://carswitch.com/dubai/used-car/nissan/xterra/2014/147230-150914
Thank you! I’m going to test-drive it this afternoon. What price should I offer? Is the asked price reasonable?
I really appreciate your help!

As always, my experience with Carnity was invaluable. I learned so much from the ever-patient Emmanuel, who was so generous with his time. I always find members of the group are eager to share their knowledge and desert driving wisdom.
I also had the opportunity to see what an Xterra was capable of in the hands of an expert. I’d say let’s start an Xterra fan club! Although Jawaher is one of a kind 😉
Rahimdad and Gaurav took advantage of every mishap into a learning opportunity, of which drivers, and passengers like me, benefited!
Srikumar chose the area well. It was greatly appreciated that he accommodated all driver levels. As a beginner, I could see the difference between that level and the one with slightly more difficulty that Emmanuel was methodically planning on the go. Great team work!
I know those who were involved in the incidents may not have been so enthusiastic, but for me it was a real opportunity to learn, which I relish.
Thank you all for the amazing experience, the nice chat and the delicious breakfast! Can’t wait for the next time!

Again somebody woke up at wrong side of the bed. Damn it.
Xterra and FJC are only two best, capable, reliable, dependable, competent, purpose built Japanese 4x4 in stock state.
@Jamy B. go with Xterra from private deal and you can get within 2012 (30k) - 2015 (50k) benchmark pricing.
Very helpful, as always! I’ll end up paying you a fee to find me one! 😂

To make your search and buy more streamline, I highly advise to stick to offroad version and higher engine size of any 4x4 you pick and choose. Offroad version will have better underbody protection, firm suspension to take the abuse and differential lock for extreme offroad conditions and self recovery. Higher engine size will offer you better power/weight ratio which is always desirable for serious offroading. While buying a new ride you can easily choose these option to make a perfect choice rather than modifying later. I am big fan of stock but capable vehicle to keep the headache to the bare minimum as I have driven highly modified 4x4 with no comfort and tons of headache every year for passing.
- 2015 Xterra offroad
- 2016/17 FJ Cruiser Xtreme
Also try to buy a 4x4 that has been driven more on road than offroad, as regularly pushed offroad 4x4 will offer you lesser usable life.
What do you think of this model? Is the horsepower low? Is the price reasonable for what this car's specifications? Just to have an idea...
the off-road ones are not that easy to find...

There are 9 people coming I am pretty sure they all have place for at least 1 person and some are driving alone so they have place for 6 more person's in their cars . Anyone will be more than happy to accommodate 1 person so they can help to navigate...
I'll tag along next time then for sure, now that I know there won't be a problem joining any of the drivers.

That’s why I was impressed and proud of @Mohammed Yaasir who drove his own wrecked car back to the road and kept calm at all times! He didn’t even get stuck while driving up and down Maliha dunes 😁
