Ive never had any heating issues with my Pajero, but to be on the safe side, I just want to monitor them so I can take necessary action if during monitoring if I see the temps going high, Ive read on the forums that the guages in the car rise up when its already too late.
Any specific obd scanners you would recommend?
Regarding lighting, it makes sense, i'll come for a few night drives and then add them if necessary.

Hi guys, with summer approaching, what are the steps to prep our car for summer drives?
I can think of the following,
1. During day drives, it will be crucial to monitor engine oil and coolant temperature, whats the best way to monitor this? can someone recommend a OBD2 reader with an app?
(Edit: Is my vehicle even OBD2 compliant ? I'm not able to find this information on Google, I drive a 06 Pajero)
2. For night drives, is it mandatory to add additional lights, if so can you suggest a few options?

Thanks a lot @Rahimdad for the amazing drive, thanks @Islam Soliman and @Ahmed Wagdy for the support.
I forgot to remove my flag after the drive and found it still hanging on tight on my roof when I reached home 😂 so for anyone who doubts the dragon mart suction flags, it can withstand speeds of upto 140kms/hr as well 😂, just make sure to clean both surfaces with sanitizer before applying the flag.

So I got the KYB Excel-G shocks installed, I changed both front and rear since my existing ones were leaking.
On the road, the handling of the car improved significantly, since these shocks are a little bit stiffer than OEM (due to them being Gas shocks).
On the dunes the shocks allowed me to get more traction on bumpy tracks and made this week's drive with @Rahimdad super amazing.
@Frederic, just to add more value to this post,
"do oil shocks make the car more comfortable to drive on road and gas shocks make the car stiffer ans better for offroad" - is this Statement true?

cool got it, @Rahimdad, so the car Im talking about, the seller is the first owner of the car and started servicing it from an outside garage a few years ago, before that it was all agency maintained, so I'm hoping it is in good condition. He's going to be back on Thursday so I'll let you know how the drive goes.
Any idea what price I should be expecting for the car?

My Pathy is 2001 model which is a 3.3 liter engine. The 3.5 is really amazing and reliable vehicle, but 2002 - 2004 model came with the plastic MAF sensor which breaks every now and then. However this was resolved from 2005 where they have a metal piece in the MAF sensor which takes care of that.
is the MAF sensor an expensive part to fix? (Im guessing not)
apart from that, is it a decent daily driver car?
Since the milage is at 200K and I'm comparing it with my Pajero at 130K, is there anything I should be concerned about for such a high milage?

Hi guys,
I bought my 06 SWB Pajero, 6 months ago and its a great little car which handles well and performs well on the dunes too. However whenever I have to take 4 people in the car its always a struggle due to it having 2 doors only.
A family friend of mine is selling his 04 Pathfinder 3.5 , I'm considering selling mine and buying his if its worth it, so I just wanted pro's and con's of either car. The only reason I'm planning for this switch is for more practicality, and nothing else.
I drive the Pajero as a daily driver as well so reliability is an important aspect, the Paj has done 130K and the Pathfinder has done over 200K, I'm yet to drive the Pathfinder as my friend isnt back in Dubai yet, so Im yet to see how the car drives.

Hey guys, I have the Geolandar HT tires, once these go bad, I might go for Geolandar ATS, can you give me any pros and cons of ATS vs HT? Ill be going for the same tire size, so nothing is going to change in that aspect.

I paid around 900 for the parts and around 300 for installation. My garage ordered the parts for me.
