It's been after a while, we had an absolutely eventful - absolute newbie drive, lol.

Everyone reached on time, but two didnt watched the the absolute newbie briefing video, so we all have to wait until they watch the full 15 minutes video. It's really strange to see people taking so much drive time and efforts for offroad drives with such a great enthusiasm, but do not read and watch everything posted on the drive thread.

As we have started within first 30 minutes, we had @Mohamed Seidam unfortunate incident of coolant leak from the radiator. He has hit the front bumper with a nosedive, as he missed the right track and went little off-track by mistake. Then we quickly drove the car out to tarmac with leaking coolant, as fortunately we were very close and he got the cops report and recovery to take the vehicle home. Thankfully he has RSA insurance that will cover this off-road accident.

Moving forward, I was blessed with @h1fny (Craig) level head as my second lead to support and hold patiently to go back and forth several times. @Neale Faulkner, friend of Craig drove well too for a first timer and accompanied Craig while being in the car at all times, important during these COVID era. @Kieran McKeown who has been absolute newbie and a new owner of Renault Duster had quite an eventful day with so much to learn on his first day of off-roading. By the end of the drive he realizes the power and limitation of duster and truly started enjoying the car after initial reluctant start. Glad to see @Lisa Pemberton growing up very well on her second drive and she did absolutely great through out. @Enoch Mbatiah patience and quick learning from Lisa trail was quite commendable and he did great too for the first timer. @Omar Shoukry did almost great with his Ford explorer and truly like such inquisitive approach towards offroading and yet trying to learn what he can work out with his Explorer. @Vineeth John Joseph did absolutely perfect as haven't had any issue with his capable Xterra. @Miguel Ibarbia being a first time with Carnity having previous off-road experience had smooth sailing too. I advise you to do the self-declaration on the next newbie drive so based on senior inputs you can transfer your off-road experience and get moved to fewbie drives faster. @Hennie Schoeman did wonderful at back without much issues or hesitation.

Super thanks to @Mels Wolf in supporting the drive with complete focus, patience and precise control over each and every stuck and refusals. It's been after a long time, we have driven together but you have grown very well in this and develop a very good level head to shoulder the responsibilities, keep it up.

Due to late start and continuous stuck and refusal in the beginning we have some lost time, but that's part and parcel of this sport to raise your tolerance and patience (occasionally). We had a good spin towards an end of what actually absolute newbie drive should offer to first timers.  And hope you will enjoy your next newbie drive, with more confidence and drive time in the future.

Drive safe with deflated tires and ego's to explore new heights of dunes and ranks at Carnity off-road club.

Although my first trip was short cut due to the unfortunate incident, I believe the best is yet to come .
Thank you for every one from the Carnity team especially our captain Gaurav for the patience , help and tolerance.

I hope to see you soon

    Cheers

    Mohamed
