@Maytham Mahrooslooks like you are trying to drive for the very first time with Carnity. Couple of points to note that it’s a Fewbie drive - you will have to join a newbie drive. And Manage Tab is for the leads and support team members only. (There is no hard coding done to stop from that happening - regular members know it and they follow the guidelines). May I suggest you to join a newbie drive.
You may place yourself in waitlist on this drive as it seems full at this moment. Please note that, I will be removing you from this drive.

Our plan vs. actual track.
We did a lot of planning, we spent a whole working day doing so, and that that's what saved us from getting disqualified instead of being 3rd, as we noticed we won't be able to do much if we try one more waypoint and instead return to the starting point.
Things went south at Waypoint 7 (Red 7) where we could have done better in achieving points. Till Way Point 9 (Red 5) we were ahead of time, but the fatigue of getting points at WP 7 and a couple of pop outs before and after WP 9 (Red 5) took all the energy out of us and we couldn't catch up with the time.
This was our first time doing anything like this and we were learning everything on the job in the middle of a serious competition. Having said that, we gained a tremendous amount of experience and are better prepared for the next year. If I were to do the exact same track it now, I am sure I would be able to do not only 215 that we initially planned but at least 240.
I wait eagerly for #DCT24.

You have to understand the boundaries as gradients rather than a hard line. Just like the waypoints it feathers out in all directions.

@Zulfikhar Naiyar congratulations buddy on your promotion to Intermediate level.

Thanks @Gertjan, @Sunil Mathew & @Pacific to join the drive. For what’s worth, we drove in a leisurely manner taking a lot of breaks but we drove fast.
The initial section was fantastic in Sweihan Area… … even the approach to Nagra Hill was pretty good but the Nagra Hill itself is trash. So much trash around the area plus every square inch of the hill is double and triple crossed by tracks and it was quite a disappointment to drive on the hill.
Having said that we drove a fantastic 72+ km in 2 and half hours including most tall dunes in the sweihan area. It was a fantastic practice for me for tomorrow’s #DCT23
See you all once again very soon.

Quite a smart place to hold the challenge. New for almost all of the participants. except for a handful who have a glimpse of the terrain, so it will be a nice challenge for most. I would have said that the terrain is mostly soft, but that statement isn't going to be valid as of now. Great Job on #DCT2023!

Please use the attached GPX file or this GaiaGPS link to import the GPS waypoints.
This is a set of 10 way points that one could try to complete over a period of 6 hours. This done as part of the preparation for Carnity DCT 2023. This list covers some of the interesting places to visit in Qudra, Murquab, Faqa, Sloar Park and back. Hope you enjoy the drive.

For a JL you can just disable Traction (single press) and ESC (long press of TC button for about 6 seconds while transmission in Parking) and it is more than enough. While it does not kill Airbags or ABS it is perfect for desert driving. The only issue is that once you go to 4 low for self recovery etc., and come back to 4H you have to redo the process of TC and ESC disabling.
I have Tazer JL that kills the ABS as well at the same time retains the TC/ESC disable-ness even if you move to 4L and back to 4H. It has some more advances especially for a stock head-unit (I have Stinger High10 unit).

Full Day Desert Drive - Liwa Yellow Truck - Abu Dhabi - 16 Dec 2023
in Offroad Drives
Posted
Yellow Truck Season is upon us. It's an annual ritual held mostly during the month of December over a 2-day weekend. We invite you to the 2023 edition of the famed Yellow Truck Drive.
Yellow Truck, what is it?
Buried deep inside the Bu Hasa Desert near Madinat Zayed City, there is an abandoned water tanker truck, which due to its remote location, has become a pilgrimage for many Off roaders all over the UAE. It doesn't look like this anymore, in 2021 someone painted it in the truck on national flag colors, it is now taken care of in that respect.
How did it get there? Nobody knows. Only Speculations. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. We can go there and get our own ideas.
What's the location? https://goo.gl/maps/9aiJC29bUyRFHmvJ9
Those who wish to join this drive from Dubai it's a 3+ hours to the meeting point, so ideally well rested body will enjoy this entire day drive without much fatigue, so reaching a night before and camping or sleeping in the car at meeting point would be ideal, but completely optional for everyone. Some say the pre and post drive parties are as famous as the drive itself.
Let's all get together on the weekend of 16th December to fulfill our annual ritual obligation.
SIGNUP CHECKLIST
Please take this event seriously and understand that this terrain, due to its remoteness and size of the dunes will challenge everyone on this drive. If you decide to bring passengers, please make sure they have spent a full day already in a vehicle in the desert and are used to it. There are hardly any nearby exit tracks and rerouting might take hours, so once we are in this terrain the aim is to complete the entire drive and visit the Yellow Truck
