  1. Congratulations @Wilfredo Perez. You are well on your journey now.
  2. @Marek switching to Cooper Discoverer AT3 from H/T was a very noticeable improvement on the sand. Though I found out later that it is a heavier tire and made some long hill climbs a little shorter for me with a sooner exit than other Pajero's. I have read a lot on the forums and saw several reviews on YouTube about different tires and the GO15s are likely a better choice for me as I do a lot of highway driving too. Already noticed a much quieter drive at <120 kph. I'll know for myself about how well they'll do in the desert next time I'm in the sand.
  3. Inspiration for my paj. Looking good and looking forward to hearing about the finalisation of formalities.
  4. That is a big sand scooper. 🤣 You weren't alone at the shop my friend. On the way home the back of my car was wobbling a bit and this is what it was once they got it up on the hoist. There was a bulge around the tire on the right side of the tread with pieces of the steel belt sticking out and the other side was starting to loose some shape too. I got just over 2 years and 40K of use almost to the kilometer. I'm guessing being deflated and rolling around on the sand and being banged around a bit causes the steel belt to degrade over time. Would love to hear of any other ideas on what might have contributed to this. In case you are wondering, after reading many forum articles and debates on off-road tires I decided on the Yokohama Geolander GO15s all around just in case the other tires up front were starting to degrade too. She had that covered! 🤣
  5. Apologies for jumping to defense mode. Clearly though the screaming in the car was overpowering sometimes. 🤣 Appreciate your understanding. The previous club we belonged to wasn't such a safe drive with them sometimes and this is something that has been engrained in me now quite deeply.
  6. Hi @DP1011, I can assure you and all of my other team members that I would not ever intentionally turn-off my radio for YouTube video or otherwise. That is completely unlike me or any of my previous behavior and any radio turned down or off would have been unintentional and accidental or in one case on this drive I did hear you but it was too late to respond because I was going down that steep drop with both hands on the wheel. Certainly I will review this video and the raw footage one, below, for where you may have specifically referred to (time reference would be appreciated) and any other areas for improvement, for which I am always welcoming feedback to improve including this one.
  7. Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was an incredible coincidence that on 11 February when my wife's niece and nephew were here from Dublin, Ireland, we went to this exact same drive area ... and it rained. @Shaun J was there and can attest. Thanks @Marek for the great action pictures. Great to see you again @DP1011 and thanks for a great drive for the family here on this trip. Thanks for taking me for a spin around in your jeep @Benjamin. Always wondered what that would have felt like in the desert. I'm sure there's more to the taster I saw. Here is the feature film from our trip with sound effects from my passengers. Enjoy as much as I did. I'll share the raw footage video tomorrow. Remember to smash the Like button and Subscribe! Thank you.
