What a Drive! Thank you @Varun Mehndiratta for organizing and executing the drive to perfection. It was a lovely day and the extended convoy drove brilliantly. I couldn't be in the inner peace drive and not experience it myself, so I crested in the most basic of manoeuvres and it was a great feeling, however, @Varun Mehndiratta and @Mike M.got jealous and got me out before I could attain nirvana. @Glenn W There is no competition man. Your stuck won first place hands down. The recovery deserves an award on it own Your Montero isn't just here for the looks. It also has the cojones to tame the desert. The position swaps were new for me but it was great to experience the drive from different parts in the convoy. We picked up pace during the end of the drive which was pumping and ended the drive on a great note. Special shoutouts to @Mike M. @Tharun Kumar V for supporting us and bringing us out in one piece Until next week boys!

That was a beautiful and an enjoyable drive. Thank you @M.Seidam for organizing and leading this drive. Special thanks for the SL position. The tracks were super smooth and your manoeuvres on the technical terrain were exhilarating. A bit of pressure in the initial stages but I quickly became comfortable seeing that the cars behind me were still there :). Also, in the beginning I followed you a bit more close and that resulted in a refusal for me and holding the convoy down. Post that, everything was super smooth. I brought a friend for the first time to the desert and he is already on dubizzle to buy a 4X4 and join us asap I loved the terrain variations every 15 min that kept us in the edge of the seat. It was a wholesome drive and we halted in a few different places as well, enjoying the night light beneath the stars. The entire convoy drove brilliantly and, not to mention @Davie Chase @Imteeaz and Mr. Surprise @Gaurav Sonifor bringing us back in 1 piece. @M.SeidamYes Doc, about the car, Thank you 😊 . @Tharun Kumar V @Gaurav Soni stayed back with me for a while and Tharun dropped me home. Brought the car home by recovery. i'ts just the brake hose on the caliper that has to be replaced. The sad part is that the part isn't available now and Nissan says they will take 3-4 weeks to bring it back in stock . Lucky the issue happened in the exit and not inside the desert. Then It would have been a looong night for you guys Hopefully il get it sorted soon and be back in the sand. Until next time guys!

Ok! This drive calls for a report. The Raid on Sauron's Kindgom Closer to the drive date, the convoy got thinner and some of us were awaiting the dreaded news of the drive being called off. @Ale Vallecchi, the professional that he is, was determined to raid the Eye of Sauron even if alone. @Ishak surprised us with his support a day before the drive and the 4 of us were waiting for the crack of dawn. The convoy of 4 were bang on time at the starting point and with one of the quickest briefs, we started our raid at 7:48 am. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for letting me sweep the convoy, din have to bother about my tracks for the cars behind With the battle-plan in mind, we made our way through the bushes and the technical dunes, stealthily inching closer to the direction of the eye of sauron, only revving our engines when necessary to climb, so as to not alert the security of the fortress. We crept on, dune after dune until we could see the glimmering eye of sauron. Keeping the eye of sauron to our left, we raced on the sabkha to get a closer view of the tower and to plan our way out. Oh! the way out. We thought it was hard to get to the tower but running away from it was brutal. The technical terrain at the start of our drive tested our control and concentration to the max but we quickly realized that it was just a practice session for what was about to come. We had a quick stop to check our way in, on the map and ale prepared us for what was about to come. One word - Treacherous The way out was the tightest technical dunes with soft bowls and we took the hard way of getting out of them - Riding along the ridges rather than going straight up and down. Concentration? what concentration? We became one with the vehicle and slowly ploughed our way out. Again, very less engine, more steering and control. The convoy had one job, follow the line or get sucked in. It was like navigating a minefield. Once out of the tight dunes, we did a couple of sideys on some wide range dunes and reached the pylon track at 11:48 am. Raced to the deflation point and called it a day. The grinning faces said it all. Couldn't have asked for a better marshall and a better convoy. @Ale Vallecchi You do magic in the sands sir @Ahmad NeratBro, The way you drove that LC today. Hats off man! you came out with your bumpers intact too Thank you for the pics and the video bro. @Ishaq Muhammad Man, The YinYang is here to stay. Great control on the revs and your self recoveries were amazing bro. Just reverse a bit slowly next time Until next time in the sand guys!

@MisterPoet Maybe this might help you as I faced a similar issue in my civic. No harm in trying. Do you have a knob to push to shuffle between trip A and trip B in your dash. If yes, try turning it clockwise. In some cars, thats doubles as a brightness adjustment knob. Once, the car wash guys turned it anti clockwise by mistake when cleaning the dash and post that, it was very dim during the day ( headlights off) and once headlights were on, it brightened up. Bugged me out for a while until I found the solution online Let me know if it helped

Thank you for your kind advice @Gaurav @Frederic and @Looper. So i will go ahead with the rear speakers mentioned above and a component speaker for the front. Pioneer single din head unit ( i dont like the large screens) with no amp or sub. Hope that would satisfy! Shall update here after installation
-
Hello @Gaurav @Frederic, I am currently looking to change the audio setup in my Xterra 2010. The head unit is stock along with the speakers but the speakers are torn. I don't want earth shattering bass and the build is a minimum budget one as this is just the weekend offroader. Looking for a richer and clearer sound overall with decent bass. I am planning to go with, and Should I change the head unit (couldnt find the pioneer 100wx4 @Gaurav. I can only see 50Wx4 available) Or keep the head unit stock and add an amplifier. Depending on performance, I might go for an under seat sub in the future. Your thoughts are welcome please.
