I was in Khatim last night for the work thing, it was freezing! Plus, wind and sand blowing everywhere. Hope it is calmer in Liwa tomorrow.

Last two years on the same drive, standard Wrangler JLU tank (70L-something) plus 20L jerrycan was more than enough. Can't imagine that 160L won't suffice)

Moreeb Dune / LIWA / International Festival

Moreeb always worths a visit, either off-festival or during it. During the festival, it is a bit of a mess, but enjoyable nonetheless. If you decide to camp, drive off a bit from the dune itself, as the noise from buggies will be there 24/7. Off-festival, @Frederic's Untamed Liwa series have been a hit, but check your level and requirements, if they resume this season (I hope so). Season is just starting, and we are all looking for what to come) -

You have to select two people then it will show up.. since it is per room and not per person, no difference.

We will be staying in Western Liwa hotel for the night before.. last year we drove directly and it was a bit extreme during the day. Plus they have a good offer right now, only on their website. But you have to select two people for this offer to show up.. room + dinner + breakfast for 422 plus taxes, not bad.

Thanks Fred. We are still debating with missus if we should drive directly from AD (which is manageable) or camp the night before. In any case we will be there by 8am. Any chance you could share GPX for the whole route on Sat-Sun? (.. and bring my Seven Emirates sticker )

and now all Liwa hotels are suddenly fully booked, I wonder why) I guess driving there early or camping is the only option. Is anyone planning to camp the night before?

I always record drives in Gaia (well if I don't forget to turn it back on after a break). Still good to see the overall plan, and of course we will deviate, this is normal.
