I installed the cronos myself, dont mind to replace it too, I am happy with factory switch, the only question is how far is the price from cronos
With shipping it was about 100aed more, well worth it.

@Stumpy Paj may I know where did you get your new Kill switch loom, I have Cronos, and not happy anymore ))
Haha, yeh the copy is not the best.
I ordered the original from Australia, very easy to order one. Just need to work out what options you want and what style switch.

September’s project 🥴
I am planning to delete the spare wheel cover and the plastic trim on the rear door.
i have just received the fibreglass replacement panels and I am waiting on delivery of the licence plate holder to go in the middle of the spare wheel.
two questions for anyone who has done this.
1. what to do with the rear parking sensors? If you unplug the them do the other two still work or do all 4 need to be plugged in?
2. is it a legal requirement to have the rear fog light?
thank you

What is your fulling plan? make a round of Al Qua?
I am planning on getting fuel at the Al-haffar ADNOC (24hr) and taking a 20lt Jerry can. (Number 1)
there is the closer ADNOC at AL-RAZEEN (number 2) but it is not 24hr, opens at 6am I think.

This means that I need to take E95. I will start after I have dinner and go there. take an hour of nap in the car somehow. It is going to be Epic.
BTW last time we did a drive there at Al Qua, I and @GauravSoni stopped at a Mandi Restaurant at Al Quaa and had a good feast and took an hour of nap before we started from there. It was quite relaxing TBH.
Taking the 611 and coming in the other way is over 100kms shorter and a hr less driving. means I get a little more beauty sleep. 😳
I Will have to go easy on the loud pedal on the way, will save on speeding fines. 😂

That's a very good idea, for cars with small fuel tanks of 60-70 liters like mine.
Definitely considering it, 160km round trip between the fuel station and start point, that’s half a tank just on the black top for the paj

That might infact help reduce popouts as the tyre is sitting very tight on the rim. I did the same when I increased the width from a 235 mm to a 270 mm on a 7.5 inch rim width. It turned out to be very forgiving with terms to popouts.
Unfortunately no that is not the case,
if the rim is to narrow the bead will not seat correctly and the risk of rolling it off the rim is very high. especially the low pressure we are running.

@Looper.. I was thinking of a comfortable ride today on my new tyres as I was kind of successful with yesterday's newbie drive with gaurav at 10 psi. that drive took us to the big red dune and soem other bowls also, I was not successful in going full up the dune but it was okay. I checked the tyre pressure with the arb dial guage and it seems fine. I was able to do what a pajero could do. Today I used the same and you got 8psi with Michelin digital. The same Michelin I was using before but when on my first drive with bfg I was checking the pressures and there was drastick variations and I was getting 12 on my Michelin and arb manual was showing 15... so I don't know.... my vehicle also sways a lot maybe because I cannot put of the traction control and abs fully. I drive on 4hlc with sand option and traction control off but I think this is programmed for light offloading..not the stuff that we do now....anyway its a combination of things getting me confused on what's the course of action forward... I think I will just take few more newbie drives as you advised till I and my vehicle get used to the tyres, pressure and the control...
Sorry guys to get all you in trouble and loose the good momentum you guys were looking forward to....appreciate all your help and patience..especially the last pop out which was very near the exit and you didn't leave me alone..everyone stayed back to help me out.....good experience...good people..everyone similing and say that all right mate no worries it happens a lot... and looking forward to see you all again on the sand without stucks and pop out...
@Abhilash Kottakkal I actually think the problem is those new tyres are not suitable for your factory rims. That factory rim appears to have a bead grip ridge on the inside that is to small for the larger bead of your new tyres.
If the bead is not allowed to seat properly every time you lower the pressure you will be at risk of this happening. I would take them back to the shop and see if they can confirm.
don’t worry about getting help, that’s why we are In This club, it’s all about learning and helping each other 👍
Edit: just had a quick look and your factory rim look like it’s only 7.5” rim, right on the lower limit for those wider tyres you have just put on. Might be why they pop off so easy.

Radiator changed, actually a very simple job, hardest point was removing and reinstalling the bash plate. Surprised it only dropped about 100mm out of the transmission cooler part, topped up the same amount so hopefully it’s good to go (transmission fluid is pretty old so that will be the next job)
will test it out tomorrow on @Loopersrive 😳

Thanks, Thought of that but the whole top of the radiator is crazed, I think it’s only a matter of time until it goes completely. The crack is in the main body of the tank just below the overflow spout/radiator cap.

Perhaps a temporary hack, but would some JB-Weld do the trick to fix that little overflow spout ?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the top tank of my radiator has cracked 🤬, have a coolant stain that reappears next to the overflow spout.
has anyone changed their own radiator in the paj? Any tips or tricks?
my main concern is the transmission cooler in the bottom of the radiator. Can you just clamp off the transmission lines so you only have to top off the transmission? How much fluid did you lose out of the transmission?
I have a radiator so will tackle this today or tomorrow, have new hoses as well to change.
thank you

@LooperLisaili sand was wet today and it seems cloud-seeding rain is going to be more frequent, so you may not need so many ropes.
@Looper, the oracle @Gauravhas commanded that we are to leave all ropes behind. 😅. I believe this is a brilliant idea, especially if it means @Bravoechohas to self recover 🤣 with a spoon 😜

@Looper thank you very much for a great drive today, covered a lot of ground. A lot of new areas for me, I think we ticked every main landmark in the area 😂
Many moments of calm followed by absolute chaos 👌
after the unfortunate mechanical issue the short wheel base group run to the exit point was awesome and topped off a great morning out.
cheers

Why did you choose the kill switch for the compressor? What are the advantages of having this feature?
So I can turn off the power at the source, if I have any problems with the compressor/switch/wiring etc I can turn the power off.
I aways try to ensure there is multiple ways to make any powered accessories as safe as possible.
