Lazy Frog has been promoted to Fewbie level
Ishak replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Good work, @Lazy Frog! Congratulations! Enjoy the new level and the learning opportunities that come with it. -
Thank you everyone for being ready right at 6:30 AM, which allowed us to start the briefing on time. A great start to what turned out to be an unforgettable day. We began by looping around the lake and smoothly moved into switching and ridge riding. Everyone @Amr J, @Carl Stanley, @Myrko, @Mei Ling, @Sunstreaker, @Krinesh, @Ahmed Farouk @khlief, @Faraz94 @Abhishek Chikara drove really well. Thanks to our second lead @Frans M for polishing the track, and even took it in better way, and he executed it nicely. That is exactly the purpose of the second lead. We had a few refusals, some crestings, and a couple of stucks, including myself, but the team managed everything perfectly with calm direction and solid support from @M.Seidam, @Frans M, @Mahesh_, and all the drivers who stepped in during recoveries. The teamwork was really impressive. Our first big adventure came early: the Haval’s skid plate decided to retire from duty. A bunch of skills were displayed, and together we removed it quickly and safely. The plan was to head to the Double Bowl, so we took an easier route toward it. On the way, we spotted a tempting dune on the right and entered with a bit more momentum. On the final dune, which required a switch, a couple of cars got crested the wrangler @Mei Ling and the grey raptor @Sunstreaker. With help from @M.Seidam, @Frans M, @Mahesh_ and @Krinesh, we recovered them smoothly. I stayed on the ridge to make sure everyone crossed safely. Then came the hardest moment of the day. The last car, @Mahesh_ green Rubicon, had a very unlucky moment and rolled over 540 degrees, ending upside down. Thank God both Mahesh and his wife were safe. The recovery of the Rubi was the toughest part, but the team executed it beautifully. Everyone became instantly hands-on, and it was genuinely heart❤️-warming to witness that level of unity and support. This is where I truly feel the blessing of being part of the Carnity family. Once the Rubi was back on its wheels, we fixed three pop-outs, and after a few minutes the engine came back to life, which made the exit much easier. We drove out slowly and safely. At the exit, the police inspected the car and Mahesh received the report. I truly hope nothing serious happens to @Mahesh_, his wife, or the Rubi, and that the Jeep returns in a good shape very soon. Thank you everyone for your support today 🙏. I learned a lot from this drive, and I appreciate each one of you 🫡.

Hello dune riders! @Myrko @Carl Stanley @Diego @Sunstreaker @Mei Ling @Krinesh @Abhishek Chikara @Ahmed Farouk @khlief @Shahid Mehmood Please take a moment to check your car and ensure everything is in good condition. Also, make sure you don't have any tight plan afterward. We want to avoid unnecessary issues, though anything can happen in the desert. Please make sure all your off-road gear is securely fastened using ratchet strap. Bungee type tie downs are not allowed. If you feel unsure about attending for any reason, kindly withdraw your RSVP so someone from the waiting list @Amr J @Cristian can move up. Thanks for support @Frans M @Mahesh_ I will post the convoy order on Saturday.

Michael Asir has been promoted to Support Team
Ishak replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations to @Michael asir for the support badge 🫡. -
The drive today was straightforward yet exciting: the mission was to steal the legendary Criss Cross Train and bring it all the way to Qudra. Wes started the morning strong, setting the tone for the day. A big thank you to the team for arriving on time, getting tires deflated, and flags raised so we could start the briefing at 6:30 sharp. From the very first climb, everyone lined up beautifully, creating that perfect long desert train that moved like a single creature across the dunes. We had several stations lined up for today’s adventure, and the team did an outstanding job visiting almost all of them. The only one we had to skip was the Qudra Secret Dunes, simply because time wasn’t on our side. Overall, the route was about 85% smooth 😅 and thoroughly enjoyable, with each stop adding its own flavor to the experience. At one point, we crossed a technical patch with bushes because I decided to cut short the path to reach the second station faster, and you all handled it effortlessly. Thanks to our solid second lead today @Frans M, responded to every instruction perfectly. Your initiative to continuously inform the situation to the convoy was very big help to me to focus on finding the safe line. Really appreciate that. @Nicolò, great control, steady and smooth. @vinayak n, you brought a lot of energy and fun to the drive today, giving us the perfect opportunity to practice safe recovery techniques. @Mei Ling, your progress on switching the ridge was clearly visible today, great job handling those transitions with confidence! Our ever-busy support @J-P L, as always, handled refusals and stuck situations with super calm and a touch of fun, especially when it came to "I have to give you a tug!"🤣 @Lala G Thanks for that documentation and feedbacks 🙏 , you missed the last fun part where we learn to climb from slip face and switch because you have to exit 30 min before. The IM gang at the back @Sherry Jacob @Abhishek Chikara and @Faraz94, hope you enjoy today's drive 🫡. @Abhishek Chikara, I can see the different from our last drive in little Sweihan. better control. Before the last climb, you decided to steer down very smoothly without fishtailing. well done. The freeman today @Glenn W, thanks for making sure no body left behind. You show us the nice line during the last climb.. and also the freestyle moment on the first station during the second break 🤣. After all, we didn’t really steal the train, we just borrowed it from its rightful owner, @Varun Mehndiratta, Now we’re eagerly waiting for the day when the owner takes the wheel and give us for a ride! Until then, we might just borrow it again and bring it all the way to Nahel. 😉
