Lovely to drive with you all today on this holiday! Started off with spotting a heap of camels training on the race course... with another train of camels about 15 minutes into the desert from al lisali. Heading south west we came up on Solar Innovation park and about 500m of tarmac where we had our first break and let the pajero cool down a bit! From there we headed south until coming up on the Miltary Shooting range, tracking around the fence line until coming into ghantoot area where we spotted the running gazelles and oryx., A few more gazelles spotted whilst searching for mini oasis and palm trees around ghantoot. I have us at 90km in 4:39. I'll try drop some photos into the gallery tonight. Thanks to @Ale Vallecchi for taking us on a great tour, and to the support guys at the rear helping out. I expect it might be a tiny difference to this as think this is previous model (2024 has 6 speed auto trans only), but imagine its largely the same weight wise. This def beter for the ballpark figures. Thanks for the info link @Gaurav

What am I doing wrong here? Out of interest was looking at the specs from al futtaim for the new LC70 3 door. The HP is at 228 and weight at 2600kg.. giving it around mid-80s using Gaurav's formula below putting in well in the borderline performance category. Thats a lot heavier than my 5door pajero... can these figures they are publishing be right? I would have expected a lot better from a 4L v6 on a short body like that.

Super fun day and learning experience. @Davie Chaseseriously good work leading us through the desert, esp the 'forest stage' which i dont think any of us were expecting all carnity support guys, the organising was fabulous and cant wait for the next one 😎 Was great vibes from everyone there,,., thank-you
