Try clay bar. If that does not work - windshield polish. I got some reservations regarding it, worrying that it might create a lens effect if the guys who are working on it have no experience working with glass (anybody can polish, but not a lot of folks here know how to do it right and we all have seen results on our roads). Next time we meet I'll show you where (I don't want to get banned here for advertising ) My problem was that the car spent 3 winters in Europe with stones and salt corroding windshield and I did not want to risk replacing it (especially that they can break stuff when doing so). The result was phenomenal tbh...

torque defines the power curve across the rev range, so yea - "helps", but it also shows that the car has much more power in the mid range than the Pajero... but even with that - there are other factors (different gear ratios, weight, tires, so there is no clear 1:1 relation between power and performance here as I understand it). anyways, this engine is healthy as it should be. And probably has the stock value. I am just having problems with "dynoing" it because of several aspects, including gearbox that can't be locked in gear (thank you Toyota), so you can't really floor it on fourth gear without kickdown and the speed limit kicking in at the rev limit on fourth gear, so just before reaching the max power you get a cutoff that is related to law-required speed limit in US (105mph?). I'll be comparing gains and focus on that, rather on looking to measure it this way.

has anyone seen dyno numbers of stock dual vvti engine? I just had a pleasure to get mine tested in preparation for upcoming mods and I am confused with how low the stock output is. Not sure if this is a dyno chart processing error or the engine is simply so underpowered (230hp on the crank / 326Nm after applying SAE norms), which means approx 139whp. The same dyno showed my 3.8 tuned Pajero was little over 270hp with 285Nm. Pajero was nowhere near as powerful when climbing as 4runner is... so numbers don't really translate well to climb performance.

On the contrary, @Ale Vallecchi, it was one of the most scenic drives this season! Blue skies, nice wind, sun at the right angle! Even white cars that don't normally look good in such conditions turned out quite well! @Simon D, promised portfolio shots: Look at the sky! And one from down under: @Cristian, some of that spectacular BMW driving: And the grande finale: one of the most interesting recoveries I had a pleasure to participate in:

@Shaun J you should be proud of such modest and yet capable company - Looper grouped cars based on recent reliability, I guess. Edit: google maps in 2023 registered something like this right next to this place we are meeting: Dear driver, dune driving using vehicle or motorcycle strictly prohibited. Are they serious there?

Seeking GAC GS8 - resources and information in the Middle East
Marek replied to mhdkaram88's topic in General Discussions
visit Gargash and talk to them directly. This will show you if they are serious selling these or not. The whole Chinese car story is not that great when you read feedback from other brands. But GAC has a strong representation so perhaps it is better (than e.g. BYD)- 2 replies
