  1. Congratulations @Sandeep Nayar, well deserved! See you on some bigger dunes soon!
  2. @Frederic thanks for leading us on another great drive! Some of the sand tracks through the new grassland of Dubai were quite reminiscent of the sand tracks in northern Botswana! But some fun play areas did emerge from the jungle as promised! @Simon D and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout was good to meet you and have some chats. To everyone on the convoy thanks for a great evening in the sand, see you all soon!
  3. Congratulations @Abhilash Kottakkal, have fun at FB+ level. It is a nice step up and opens up some really fun drives!
  4. I have a rash with small blisters and a redness on both my elbows. Quite itchy but got some cream to rub in this evening.
  5. Congratulations @Luke K P very well deserved! Fixed raptor with shiny new beadlocks hitting the dunes near you soon.
  6. Thanks @DP1011 for another drive that lived up to its title! Good technical terrain linked togeter by streches of "jungle". A good number to refusals and stucks as should be expected on a tech drive, some really soft sand tested the cars and drivers over and above the tight dunes. But lots of good humor and laughs along the way!
  7. Hi Ali could you please post once it is loaded on the events calendar, thanks. If I get my weekend chores done in time I would like to join.
  8. Sorry to hear about the 2nd CV joint of the day! Old Lady Dune would not even give herself up for us today, guess we need all earn her respect! Hope your jeep is back up and running soon!
  9. Thanks @DP1011, what an awesome and eventful drive this morning! Lovely flowing drive through nice big dunes! I started the pop out festival, 4 in total for the drive! @Luke K P had an impressive stuck that turned out worse than 1st thought with a broken front drive shaft. Hope all gets sorted out quickly mate! To everyone on the convoy, great team spirit and driving! Cheers all and enjoy the cricket tonight!
  10. Thanks @DP1011 for another great Nahel drive, double bowl entertained again, but the flowing dunes with multiple criss crosses all at a good pace was fantastic. Cheers all and enjoy the afternoon.
  11. Thanks once again @Ale Vallecchi for a fantastic and extremely varied drive. Had some of the most technical section I have done to date and some loverly flowing dunes, with lots of really soft summer sand thrown in! A good number of refusals along the way ably handled by @Batuhan Kulac and @Emanuel, but undertandable given the very soft sand at times. All in a great morning!
  12. This pic was taken when I was working in Zambia around 25 years ago, back when i used to off road in a 2wd pick up with diff lock. Was a company car so it had "momentum" over obstacles. It took me all over Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
  13. Hi As per what I have been quoted: Dobinsons IMS & Springs are around 450 more than IMS & Kings springs, but still a fair bit more than the various stage 1 suspension options. Will have to do the man math's and see if I can convince myself to not just leave it stock.
  14. Hi all Pajero experts Just seen that Dobinsons have an Eid special on IMS and 3 way MRA shocks, but do not have springs available. So questions is, if I get the IMS shocks from them and a set of Kings springs will this work? Or do I wait till Dobinsons springs are available? Cheers Andrew
  15. I love this one, please share your best
  16. @Ale Vallecchi, perfect really looking forward to doing both drives! Pity that I cannot make the Friday one as well, but work gets in the way of that one. My 1st FB+ drive last Saturday was a real eye opener and immense fun. However, the longer exploration style drives are my 1st love.
  17. Hi Chris I would go for lightness as far as possible for desert driving, as power to weight is very important. My car is an almost stock pajero only have rear bash plate, cut front bumper and AT tires in the stock size. Learning to self-recover your car from a refusal/stuck is really satisfying, almost as much as making your 1st long climb on the 1st attempt.
  18. @Batuhan Kulac, happy all was resolved mate! Sounds like you must have been a bit concerned until it turned out to be a fairly simple issue.
  19. A big thank you to @DP1011 for such a great introduction to FB+ level. I had a fantastic time, especially on the play through double bowl! The kind words and support from you and @Looper gave me a lot of confidence to relax and enjoy the challenges of the drive. The support to newer drivers and true community spirit of Carnity is always a pleasure to experiance. Thanks to the entire convoy for this.
  20. @Davie Chase, unfortunately an issue at work has come up and I won't be able to make the drive this evening.
  21. @Nicolò congrats and enjoy Fewbie level, the real fun starts here
  22. Thanks so much to all of the Carnity Crew! I have learned so much, from so many of you, over the last few months! I look forward to growing in my off road jouney with Carnity at the FB+ level!!!!!
