  1. Congratulations @Sebastian Nohse and very well deserved. Always a pleasure driving with you.
  2. Thanks all for joining the drive this morning. And especially to @Emanuel for supporting my 2nd partial lead. We made some good distance, starting near 3 trees, flowing through some nice long range dunes mixed in with some technical patches through to a play area. Unfortunately it was really busy with 3 other convoys and a few single cars also there. We had a short play but left as it was too busy. We then made our way through to the secret garden via some more technical areas, and some tracks. Despite the sand being soft we had a good mix of long range dune flow, ridge riding practice and a few simple criss crosses. As the temp hit 40 we exited 🤪 All in a good way to enjoy a sunday morning. Great driving from the newer FB drivers @Mountain and @Lazy Frog especially with your calm reactions when coming off one of the ridges. We had great support from @J-P L and @Mahesh_.last but not least we had good company and driving from @Hartzel, @khurramm and @_Herman_.
  3. Hi @Emanuel, @Mountain, @Lazy Frog, @Riyad, @J-P L, @Hartzel, @khurramm, @_Herman_ and @Mahesh_ Really looking forward to having you all join my 2nd partial lead. A big thanks to Emanuel for his support, we will be alternating the lead duties during the drive. It is very hot and humid at the moment, please ensure that your cars fluids have been checked and that you carry sufficient water for yourself and any passengers. Look forward to seeing you all flags up and deflated ready for a briefing at 06h30. See you all soon
  4. Good Morning All Hope you are all having a good weekend so far! Thanks for signing up to this drive, it should be a good one despite the heat, so please come prepared with enough fluids for yourself and your car. Lastly if there have been any changes to your plans please update your RSVP and I will be sending out the final convoy order this afternoon. See you in the sand bright and early tomorrow. Thanks Andrew and Emanuel
  5. Thanks to all for joining me on my 1st partial lead, it meant a lot to me! With special thanks to @DP1011, @J-P L and @Glenn W for the mentorship.and support. Totally appreciated. The day started with all on time for 06h30 briefing. Then a sand track leading into the dunes. Was a nice mix of ridges, loops through the long range dunes and technical zones. Few stops to keep the cars cool. The few refusals and stucks on the ridges gave some good learning opportunities to the fewbies on the drive. Everyone drove really well. Thanks again
  6. @DP1011, @Simon Thomas, @Rajath Shetty, @Zubail, @saumik1989, @J-P L, @khurramm, @JC_E, @Cristian, @Deepak Eswar and @Glenn W Hope you are all ready for tomorrow morning. As the summer heat has really kicked in, please make sure that both you and your car are fully topped up with fluids! The sand is really soft at the moment, so when deflating please use the lower pressure range that you are comfortable driving at. Thanks to @DP1011 for supporting my 1st partial Lead, we will swop the lead responsibilities during the drive. See you all tomorrow for a 06h30 briefing.
  7. Congratulations @Simon Thomas, enjoy the new level of pace and challenges!
  8. Congratulations @Krinesh, well deserved. Love the pic in the post!
  9. Great list, and a gentle reminder that I need to top up on some items 😀
  10. Agree with Luke, that is a kiss rather than a hard bump. The bash plates primary role is to protect the radiator not to damage it.
  11. @CY Bong it has been great to have you in the club and to drive with you a good number of times. You will be missed! All the best for your move back home!
  12. Congratulations @Rajath Shetty enjoy the new pace and challenges
  13. Well done @Abdullah A. great to see the progress of another pajero through the ranks. See in the sand soon
  14. @MarkH summertime desert driving is generally an early morning activity for safety of all. Drive start times will normally be either 05h30 or 06h00, with arrival sufficiently before then to be full deflated and have held the briefing before the start time. The aim being to exit the drive before the late morning heat becomes dangerous to humans and the cars. For further afield drives a 03h30 alarm clock is normal 🙃
  15. Well Done @Lukas Wii enjoy the new challenges and pace that FB level brings. Have a blast and see in the sand.
  16. Hi @Aser it has been a real pleasure learning the desert together over the last almost 3 years. From the Newbie days through to tackling the RDC together earlier this year. Getting to know you as a person and not just another club driver, as well as your lovely family (including the dogs!) You will be missed by many, including those who have been on the end of your enforcer radio voice! Many NB's and FB's have leant a lot from your no-nonsense approach to safety and radio discipline. Will miss seeing you master the big bowls and dunes of Sweihan, Al Salamat and Liwa! All the very best for your new adventures in Canada!
  17. @khurramm congratulations, more chances to tame your beast of a car
