    @Ale Vallecchi, as much as I need a drive to regain my sanity, I have too much work to complete before Monday. I will have to withdraw from this drive. The Al Maktoum airport tender is all encompassing at the moment. Please accept my humble apologies for the late notification.

    Thanks @DP1011 the change to Nahel was well worth it. Absolutely briliant lines and routing through the rolling dunes! A few minor refusals and only two stucks allowed some to get a bit of exercise. The numerous runs through double bowl and then the exit climb was the highlight and the best way to end the drive off. Thanks to @Rob S, @Aser and @Beide Worku for support and sqeep. @Jose Luis Campos, @Sam Selim, and @Abhishek Chikara all drove really well on a drive that reached near IM levels at times, a great learning experience. @Faraz94 your Haval lines were very impressive, lastly to @ChrisW, @Hani crest king and @Frans M always good to see you and catch up.

    Hi @Herman G, I am in construction so also have a fair bit of lifting experience. This is why it is important to have proper tow/recovery points on a vehicle. Also the kinetic ropes and shackles should be rated to at least 3 times the mass of the heaviest vehicle. For example, the type of cars we drive are between 2.0 and 2.5 ton, add in passengers, gear, camping stuff, mods etc say 400 to 600 kg. So around 3 ton therefor all recovery gear should be rated for an absolute minimum of 9 ton, with 11 ton a better bet. Again, if recovering a fully kitted out USA style pick up will need gear rated to at least 15 ton.

    @Herman G, thanks for this pic. It really shows what was required to get the LC back to safety. Even has @Ana with a shovel in her hands, one of the many who assisted with patience and following the instructions clearly. Once again very well done to all involved, in this learning experience.

    Totally agree, going up in tire size will just reduce the acceleration. Big tires are a rock crawling thing and not required for sand.
